I used to do my Master Degree at Griffith University in 2010. I'm impressed with the uni's international student support. It's a good choice to study and the living environment is perfect. It's close to CBD and not far from the beach.
Is childhood education taught in this campus? I'm 15 so i might change what university I'm going to but this one seems good! :) i don't know much about universitys yet though
I am an international future student...searching for universities... so sir, how about the pat time job opportunities if i choose Nathan....and is there scholarships ..like financial and others ?
Check Griffith’s website for their international scholarships. Part time work: there’s less directly around Nathan than the Gold Coast campus, but Nathan isn’t far from the centre of Brisbane by bus (20 mins) where there is plenty of work available).
Griffith is currently number 1 in the country for law… but uq has the prestige. Any thoughts on which would be better? (From anyone, please help me choose!)
Law is one of those disiplines where imo it matters more the things you get involved in than the uni you go to. e.g. if you are super active in the law society, do clerkships, take leadership programs and study overseas, that will make more of a difference to your job prospects and career than WHERE you study 👍 Don't agonise. Choose the one that appeals most, go for it and get involved in everything you can!
It's a very pretty spot and the programs there are fantastic. That would definitely be towards the top of my list of places to study if I had my time again and the disciplines I was interested in were taught there.
Hi, I am watching this video, and we are looking at studying at Griffith after I finish my Diploma course at Australian Pacific College (APC), by any chance, may I ask for a link (where I can add my referral links) where you mentioned that Griffith is number/top 1 for its tourism and hospitality courses. (rankings) Thank you so much
Australia overall is a very safe place. Nathan has a security service where they’ll walk you to your transport if you’re there late. There’s not really many part time jobs right on campus but it’s really not far from the city centre and other places where there’s plenty of work available.
Not a lot of people seem to be in these Comments. Right now I kind of need some advice or reassurance! I’ve looked at some Reviews online and the amount which complain about Staff who are Ignorant and Lazy and Unhelpful (Etc.) concerns me. I want to enter into the Nathan Campus next year but it’ll be my first time on my own and I don’t want it to be a mistake. I value supportive and helpful Staff a lot because of my Disabilities and I’ve had a lot of both help and hinderance throughout Highschool. Anyone who has been here recently, especially for Forensics/Criminology, please hit me with the honest truth about the Staff and Facilities! Thank you (:
Where did you see those reviews? The criminology programs is one of the best in the country by all accounts. There’s only one review site I know of and it’s not very good tbh. I’d take reviews with a grain of salt and look more at the Government statistics on compared.edu.au Those will give you a more independent, full story.
@@ChoosingYourUni Yeah. Looking for Reviews showed up with Reddit and someplace literally called University Reviews. I knew nothing super credible was on either sites but the Negativity was enough to concern me. 😅 Thank you for the Reply! It helps anyways. I just needed to hear from *someone* that has actually been on site. (:
I’ve seen that site and have found that the reviews there have a strong negative bias compared with the national statistics. I’m not saying not to trust the advice there, only that each review only represents one person’s experience and that person has self-selected to leave a review on that site. Out of curiosity, what Reddit were you looking at?
@@ChoosingYourUni Looked at a few Reddits but I think majority fell under r/brisbane and had Griffith in their Title. It’s definitely less Negative compared to the other Review site.
I'm looking into a masters degree in financial technology at Griffith (Feb). Sir should I go with Nathan or gold coast? What about accommodation and availability of part time jobs?
Where are there more jobs, gold coast or Brisbane? I'm going to be studying hospitality and tourism and need help in choosing a campus but i also need to consider where it's easier to get jobs. Can you please help?
Griffith uni has top teachers? On what merit are these ‘awards’ handed out I wonder having studied there as an international student and personally experienced ridicule and racism by a few of the teachers there.
Have you raised these concerns with the institution? Your accusation is very serious. Racism is not tolerated by Australian universities so if you've experienced this you should speak up. Contact the student ombudsman: www.griffith.edu.au/students/student-complaints/office-of-student-ombudsman One must be careful in tarring everyone with the same brush. That you may have had a negative experience with one or two staff members does not mean that the thousands of staff at the university are all the same.
I have had to remove the comments you made where you named specific people as that might be considered defamatory. I’m not in a position to judge your circumstances and that’s not the purpose of this channel. However, I’m leaving this thread here should others have complaints against a university in Queensland. You might also take your complaint to the Tertiary Education Quality Standards Agency or even Australian Human Rights Commission if you are I satisfied with the response of the university to your complaints.
