I’m so surprised!! This is different from what I have ever heard. As far as I know , most pianists play very fast. I have been getting bored with that. This performance is really heart warming and graceful!!

Sokolov is pretty freakin' good. I've often heard him discussed as a favorite among pianists for his incredible technique and original intepretations.

He’s truly the greatest. Pure confidence in every note and totally justified. He interprets every piece in such a thoughtful manner that is unique, but never overrides the intent of the composer. Cool hair too. Love Grigory.

Видно, даже очень сильно видно, как он старается передать неописуемую красоту нот, музыки.. Соколов никого не хочет поражать тем что, он может играть как мастер в быстрых темпах. Он хочет передать эту музыку с любовью, теплом. Выбирает каждую нотку, как будто разорвались бусинки и котяться.

Так же мне не стыдно за то что я делал пару лет назад , многие в детстве этим болеют 🙂. Название канала специально не меняю, так парой приятно смотреть за собой, ещё практически малышом.

Удивительно тонко, по-шубертовски, стильно. Григорий Соколов один из немногих пианистов, который играет композитора, а не себя. Обожаю его. И, конечно, потрясает темп, в котором мы не привыкли слышать это произведение. Но именно это и является изюминкой этого замечательного исполнения.

Необыкновенно!такой интерпретации не могла даже представить. Темп и шртих. Чтоб было так наполнено и не скучно. Это может себе только мастер позволить

Una interpretazione sublime. Poesia, leggerezza e nostalgia. Schubert in purezza. Finalmente la velocità giusta di esecuzione. La stragrande maggioranza dei pianisti eseguono il pezzo a velocità folle, quasi come uno studio virtuosistico. A che fine? All'epoca (1827), la tecnica strumentale avrebbe mai permesso una esecuzione rapidissima e legata? I pianoforti dell'epoca cosa avrebbero permesso come massimo virtuosismo!? Sicuramente non quello che si riesce a fare oggi. Ci vuole rispetto per la storia e per i genii

Niente di meno. D'accordissimo. Sokolov riesce sempre a sorprendere, cogliendo in pieno il lato poetico e artistico della partitura. Quando la musica la si nutre dentro di se', c'è ben poco da fare...

Игра этого пианиста отличается ясностью артикуляции. Каждый звук- на вес золота! В крайних частях мелодия льётся как ручеёк, средняя часть,наполненная глубоким смыслом, контрастирует по характеру крайним частям.Вдохновенная игра пианиста не оставляет равнодушными слушателей. Чувствуется высокий класс пианиста. Браво маэстро!!!

fabulous performance; unique interpretation; he treats the middle section with more reverence than anyone else i have ever heard. section 2 begins around 1:30. i also find that his technique is unique and fascinating to watch

Une belle interprétation, très nuancée, très romantique ... contrairement à ce que l'on entend souvent, le tempo est parfait. La lenteur relative apporte beaucoup de précision dans le jeu. Chaque note est ciselée. En somme, cette prestation donne un résultat qui est supérieur à celui de tous les interprètes de référence, particulièrement Brendel dont le jeu trop rapide, trop sec, nuit au romantisme de la pièce. Un grand bravo à Monsieur Sokolov !!!

What's wrong with the 20 dislikes? Best interpretation I found on RU-vid. It's not necessary to speed the piece up to bring out its beauty.

Lucia Cherubini I sometimes wonder if RU-vid automatically gives a video with a certain like amount dislikes, there are so many videos out there(especially in classical music i’d say) where I just wonder how you can not like them

I don't agree. Listen to Sokolov playing Saint-Saens concerto 2. He was already mature and "aged" at age of 17.

I’m not an adult and my teacher said I have good interpretation skills, so you don’t need to be mature or an adult to have good interpretation skills.
