Nice, I have the cabinet style grilla and love it. The old style controllers sucked however I had 2 quit on me.

This one has been rock solid so far I’ve had treager, green mountain, pit boss, expert grill, and a recteq. This one is the best bang for the buck I believe. The stainless is nice and the build quality is excellent.

It was definitely heavy, and I didn’t want to scratch the smoker. My wife said you had help to get that on the cart right. lol

I would check the grill temp with another thermometer at grate level. My Silverbac consistently runs much hotter than it indicates, by anywhere from 30 to 75 degrees. Other than that I’ve had no problems with it for the past 3 years.

I’ve seen that with a lot of pellet grills. There’s a lot of radiant heat from the deflector and grease tray. I normally do fat side down on pellet smokers because of that reason.
