How can Sega be even slightly surprised that Condemned 2 under performed? So the first game is available on PC, but It's sequel isn't so no one was able to buy it there. But PS3 owners also didn't have access to the first game so why would they buy it? So basically It's potential audience was Xbox 360 owners who bought and enjoyed an already very niche game and decided they needed more of it? The release of Condemned 2 was such a clusterfuck by Sega

I have never experienced the same level of immersion and dread in Silent Hill 2 or any other horror game like when I got the Condemned 2 mission prompt "Defeat the alcohol demon" 33:05

The progression of Condemned: CO as a mostly-mundane and grounded crime thriller to Condemned 2's blatantly supernatural foes and Ethan's head-bursting sonic scream reminded me a lot of another game: 'Indigo Prophecy.' It's a game that I hold near and dear to my heart, mostly because its first two sequences got me invested in the story and gameplay like few games ever had...and from the way that this interesting story feels like the writer's peyote connection arrived a third of the way through the writing process, and he spent the remaining two thirds of writing tripping absolute balls.

The review that guy made was so wholesome, even if the game doesn't have the same quality as the first one is so nice to see someone just having fun and enjoying the experience they're having

Needs a reboot, with a more coherent story this time. That being said, I did enjoy both games back then.

As I was working through your backlog of videos (only discovered the channel a few weeks ago), I saw your Condemned review and was bummed to see that there wasn't a followup for Condemned 2 because I wanted to hear your thoughts on such a, uh...'interesting' sequel. But to see it pop up here, _and_ at such a length? Holy shit, my dude, this is a delight. Also, I have no idea how your channel has such a low profile. You've been churning out entertaining, informative, and well-produced game reviews for years, and despite that kind of thing being 100% what appeals to me I didn't have your channel suggested to me until the quarantine was well underway. And as a side note, I have you to thank for my revived interest in point-and-click adventure games. I had forgotten how much I liked them when I was a kid until I started watching your videos.

There is a foam bit inside the PS3 controller that creates a slight gap between the pcb and the buttons you press on the top. Over time the foam bit erodes/gets compressed thus whenever you are pressing a button, random other buttons will also be pressed. The fix is to open up the controller and add some height to the foam bit, preferably with an insulated tape or something. Just search for it online, it's an easy fix, should take 15 minutes tops.

I can't stand developers assuming that making their game really dark makes it scarier. Yes, the dark is scary. A black screen, however, isn't remotely scary. A black screen just means there's nothing going on. You don't want to make a horror game where there's nothing going on, do you?

Just found out about your channel, love your content especially the Dark Fall series. First PC game I ever played.

The Codemned 2 bear is the only thing I've ever heard anybody ever talk about when it comes to the entire franchise. I remember when the game came out, the bear sequence won the "most memorable scene of the year" in a few gaming magazines. Pretty wild that such an "iconic" moment is barely even a footnote that garners more of a "Why?" than a "Wow!" from you.

I know this video is 9 months old as of February 2021 but the way you described the bear chase scene in this game is exactly how I felt when I play through this game. You articulated it perfectly. I remember reading the topics over at game FAQ. Everyone was losing their minds over the bear chase sequence and when I got up to it I was a little underwhelmed because of exactly what you described in your video. It felt like a pre-programmed maze that I had to get through to appease the pre-programmed event.

Hey there, recently discovered your videos and I have to say that they are utterly entertaining! Your style is refreshing and unique, there are many elements in your video which I absolutely adore. I would like to leave some feedback in regards of the way you create your videos. What I really like: Your low-key self-depreciation fashion with the oddball humor just work really well together. I like the random tangents and cuts that you use in your videos, it keeps them entertaining and you never really know what to expect. You are very eloquent in your synopsis and well structured but add some dumb elements that work well together. Visually, I really like your intro and the way you edit the footage. Music is also stunning and you make it yourself as far as I can tell. You cover genuinely nice games that are interesting and go really into detail, which is a joy for fans of games that you cover. Things I'm mixed upon: Some videos have incredibly lengthy and overly detailed plot synopses, I think that you do not need to go into such in-depth explanations but I reckon that you really like to do it! It's actually pretty nice but I feel like it might cause a slow pacing in some of your videos. Overall, I think you really should keep doing these and continue your style. Cheers from Luxembourg!

If you want to scratch that itch of fighting hobos in dilapidated locales but without the wacky supernatural plot, you should try Černaja Metka (also known as "The Hunt"), it's basically Condemned meets Manhunt and it's really not half bad for a 2008 obscure russian game! It sould be on My Abandonware right now. Thank you for all your great videos man, keep up the good work!

I love Condamned 1 and 2 the same way. Yes, the first game was better in some story ways but the second game still has a depressing und dark atmosphere like only a view games do. I wish there were more games like this.

This game scared the hell out of me as a kid. I didn't finish it until I found a copy online and replayed it on hard when I turned 17. Also, I would love to see the combat and investigation elements of this series be implemented into a outlast style game (story and horror wise, I mean)

Greetings from France Grim Beard. First of all, I nearly died at 41:30, how do you catch these moments ?! 🤣 I did not know that a dev in the knowing had ascertained the impossibility of a sequel. It's a shame because even though the CO was much better balanced, I still loved this one ! We need this game ported to PC ; having played the latter only once, my memories of it are not sufficient. Your review was incredibly entertaining - onr of the very best out there, even if our opinions differ. I really liked the new combat mechanics : a genuine improvement to me - bar these stupid immersion-breaking videogame indicators and QTEs ; I was fond of the new investigation gameplay. A real shame those sequences were so rare. I appreciated the balance attained with increased gun presence. Like you said, the "clunkiness" of aiming compensated their unfair power to me. And boy these headshots ! There were truly terrific levels, IMHO truly on par with the original. The Museum, the high school & bowling club, ruined hotel… Excellent memories. On the other hand, Police HQ and 1st level made my eyes bleed FFS ! Excessive darkness is definitely a sin. And I blame you for reviving the damn doll factory I had managed to completely erase from my brain by the way. The rabid bear was initially an excellent idea ; even more astonishing was the way Monolith managed to ruin integrally the potential of this sequence.
