Here in Australia, both Manhunts were initially rated MA 15+ (somewhere in between ESRB M and T) but then (likely soley because of angry mums) they were “refused classification” meaning that they’re still legal to own, but you could be charged 200k for selling in a store 💀keep in mind these were the censored console versions of Manhunt 2, not the uncut PC port which iirc Rockstar didn’t even try to release here

@@justinbrandt8415 fuck been working on a bunch of Garry's mod sweats and mods and stuff the last few weeks, I don't even know if 439 is an ammunition, I think it's 4x20.. but immediately I can't I can't stare at that and like think of anything other than bullets right now :-) and there is time travel involved too because it's ballistics and shit.. turns out the best way to see what Grand idea is keeping your one particular bullet from firing or tracer from running orfunctionality to not or possibly exist is largely centered around the level of gaslighting done by the descriptions and the creator of whatever system, and how much information they choose to share or not share in various combinations that could be both exponentially negative and positive, and thus usually end up somewhere in the middle... It's it's a tiny fucking bullet too LOL... I would really love machine games to do another IP though, I feel like they built more than a few from the ground up.. I mean yeah starting on other people's work but stuff that was completely independent from the video game scene, and doing damn well with somebody else's pre-iterated work.. but when it comes to things like the darkness, or the riddick games... Like if only they had the kind of clout that arcane had to just go and do their own thing.. They might but probably not, and obviously them working together wasn't the best result LOL.. and for some strange reason arcane seems to be going away from the immersive sim, like I thoroughly appreciate the immersive mechanics in a in a straight shooter like the new Wolfenstein games... far as I'm concerned pretty much every shooter should should go that direction, that's why my name is what it is on patreon.. I'm saying is is it would be it would be dope if we could get another sneaky stabby smacky follically challenged protagonist.. kind of game thing.. doesn't have to have you know fucking Tony hawk pro skater mechanics or anything like that you know like, like I can rate my own murder.. even better if you give me the tools like in the riddick games to make my own performance you know.. Let's put everybody at Bethesda in the same room except for Bethesda.. they're.. they're they're kind of not good at things.. so yeah don't don't let them in the room but but have everybody else in the same room, and and do the physics from dark Messiah with the transmutation of prey, with the portals of other prey.. and the shooting of Wolfenstein, with the player agency and movement of that and dark Messiah..with the writing of Wolfenstein and riddick and darkness etc.. and the art direction of old school id... And then the marketing of Bethesda right at the very end after everything's done and there's no take backs because other Bethesda was wasn't there.. to fucking just start throwing fetch quests into it, My goodness that would be a game! I mean every single one of those games kind of does everything anyways.. and the big thing that's missing between the two sort of styles here, is that old physics-based gameplay from arcane, to mesh with the brilliant player agency and writing for machine/star breeze.. and you get id probably into your level design and animations.. old school animations, the kind that don't give you that uncanny valley feeling from everyone in the game looking like they're moving extra hard or extra movie for every moving stuff.. or I guess as they call it motion capture or something... Like like as soon as it comes to any sort of animation or first person perspective you just you just you just you just pull the ethernet cable to France, and then the one to Austin I suppose.. like you just yank those two fuckers.. so so it's Sweden and Dallas in the room.. Just kind of goes to show how much talent is under that banner at Bethesda and it's not the Bethesda part.. and yet somehow they've managed to be counterproductive together while successful on their own.. so this can be done we just need multiple stages! Bring back carmack! and shit if all goes well his foray into rocket science and VR should be a wonderful addition to the best sneaky stabby shooting game ever made, oh shit actually you would have to grab Bethesda for a moment, like definitely do this at the very end ever after like dll's have been you know really really convolutedly packed and everything and discs are being printed with steam codes for day one patch downloads and shit you know like way at the end like way after the release date right like right about when it's about to come out you know.. and then you just have them bring some chickens so that you can have the ultimate fuck you to crytek, the only other immersive Sim where you could throw chickens as a feature.. as far as I know Bethesda has all the chickens in this scenario but like we're talking way after the release date like way after the the shipping and shit like right before it's about to come out you know... Actually you might not even be worth it, like somehow that's fucking figure out how to add some sort of DLC fetch quest and just fucking ruin the whole thing so.. you might have to go with that chickens but you know what, this is where valve comes in! That's right we're bringing in other teams for the fantasy super game! Mod support! I will get our chickens, we just have to do it ourselves.. and since it's way after the release date valve can't cancel it at the 90% completion Mark as is there way cuz I'm assuming a gypsy curse or something?

The problem is everybody thinks this is only now happening, the fact is Rockstar has been going down for a long time. I don't know how people didn't see this in the in the late 00s

Lol hatred was such a trash game I only appreciated it because it reminded me of postal 1 so I just installed and played that instead. Same with manhunt I just installed San Andreas and started killing pedestrians.

@@dirpyturtle69 the entire game was sold on being edgy for the sake of being controversial. It definitely got free press because of that, but the actual game is so bad, not even mods fixed it.

Yeah there was a point when I would not play a game that did not have at least bullet decals.. now I won't play a game that doesn't have left and right corner leaning, I have settled for cover modes but you know.. it ain't the same, especially in first person.. being constantly reminded that you're in a video game with context markers LOL do this because we said you could it tested well... After the first far cry, when they had the decal markers in the menu and you can set it to 999, which carries a very light layer of irony I suppose very light if you're in the UK... And then write your name in them with bullets.. and I spent probably a good 2 years after Half-Life 2 came out attempting to figure out how to make the bullet holes appear when they were dead having been spoiled by far cry, then I got spoiled by smor, that not only added this but spurting arteries like in fear, leaning, free aim, a bad ass kick that to this day is still known as the s mod kick LOL.. and splash blood where the artery would spray and it would splash on the people on the things all the things it was wondrous, and then in a one fell asleep valve took it away from me with The Orange box update.. ironically crytek, the company that galvanized my commitment to my violent tendencies.. scrub the internet of all the advanced mods that mess with the rag dolls, and that game had a physics engine back when they were doing the card add-ins, so splash, fuck that.. we had particle emitters so it was like an actual liquid stream that could roll downhill and affect by gravity.. fuck you crytek... You broke my heart, everything they ever were they walked back with some real twatty trolling too by the time they had released crisis 2, which took the immersive Sim concepts crumbled them into a ball and then lightly place it in a context menu on the ground, whereas previously they would have thrown a chicken through a shack.. that hurt a little bit that hurt that hurt a bit. yeah damaged model should be a requirement and and it started to see like that was going to be a thing for a while.. but then elden ring comes out where it's like you have these gorgeously detailed models and animations, bright giant blood splatters that hit the ground and everything and not a single mark on the model.. some of these things have like fucking Spears through them and like chains and shit and and you're just whacking at that thing with a sword and and it's like.. oh so maybe that wasn't blood spraying out maybe that was like fucking theatons? or something from a Scientology unicorn fairy tale? It throws the whole thing off.. you could have gotten away with that 10 years ago 20 years ago maybe, shouldn't have 10 but 20 I could see.. but now the detail is so granular, the more detailed you make it the more it stands out when you just don't give a fuck about one particular thing.. but honestly I don't think people actually care LOL it's been a long time since I've seen a detailed game, cyberpunk was detailed for what it was worth and it was unfinished but it was detailed.. I mean shit going from The Witcher 3 just speaking of cdpr to elden ring, that's that's quite a rough stop and check your surroundings situation LOL going from hacking heads off people in half splitting people open down the middle.. to nothing, and everybody's just fine with that.

@@jakedill1304 at least a small consolation for elden ring is your character does get splattered in blood as you chop your way through monsters which I think is still a good touch to include but yeah, it definitely takes me out when those features are missing and I agree it's pretty silly that's it's not an industry standard. I don't know if you played that resident evil 2 remake but it's got some of the craziest model damage I've ever seen in a game.

Then only watch an hour of them at a time, it's kind of a feature when you think about it.. you can watch some of it and then watch some of it later and then and then watch the rest of it even later later, it's the power of on demand.. you can always do your tick tock scrolls and shit you know like in between segments, which are actually broken up into segments now that I think about it so if anything it's perfect, and you can just jump right back in it's not like tick talk we're just goes away forever you know like you can come back here and then and then sometimes it even saves your position and everything it's it's like.. it's almost like long-form content can be consumed at your own pace! And this way it also gets to context and detail and all the fun things that you know like are are fun for a lot of us out there, maybe it's cuz I'm old but I'm not you know..like we're not talking about reading fucking books here you know like that would be fucking dumb that would be too long and way too boring.. like this shit plays itself you don't have to really do anything, except for maybe go back if you miss something which I do on a regular basis! It's sounding like the more complex and detailed length format which is quite a feature and somewhat unique is is bothering you.. it's like kind of like if it if it's a deal breaker you can kind of you know.. Speed and coke and stuff make you write a lot more than you would sober but they impair your judgement of what's good writing and what's a good idea by inflating your ego and making everything seem more interesting than it really is. Heroin makes it very hard to do anything at all, let alone write anything coherent and substantial. Psychedelics are good, but they don't magically give you ideas. They're more useful for getting you out of your own way internally. Like, help you stop beating yourself up so you can focus on writing. But if you're going to do any of it, yes, get or preferably be a wizard.

Breaking Bad is a good example of this. There's lots of violence and drug use in it, but for some reason they had to put mosaic over a piece of paper that said "fuck you". Also, in Hannibal people get disemboweled left and right, but the producers had to censor nudity in an old painting.

to be honest we get the same level of gore and worst in Red dead redemption 2. you can blow limbs off strangle people to death in varies ways! literally shoot peoples heads with a revolver until peoples of it go flying off etc etc. I just don't see how manhunt wouldn't be approved
