Same. Got sucker punched in the feels and then laughed at the balloon gag. Come to think of it, the feels right next to the absurd humour is pretty loyal to G1 after all.
DUDE! Simon Furman is an absolute legendary comic writer, especially when it comes to Transformers. Sure he has written things I don’t like, but without him, half of the Transformers stuff we know wouldn’t even exist.
@PurpleOwlAnimation Well, when you understand the context it’s mostly excusable. For his first attempt at Arcee, that’s back when female transformers were barely a thing so he kinda had his hands tied. For IDW Arcee, that was his first time since the G1 comics that he wrote her and he still thought he needed to explain how there’s a female Transformer. I will call him out on how he introduced IDW Arcee though. I don’t support the whole transgender shtick but even I have to say he could have came up with a better way that wasn’t offensive to them. I personally think they should have stuck with Futman’s story for it until the comics ended because them retconing it to where she was willing to be changed was a cheap cop out, also just took away the tragic side of her character. Long story short, sure Mr Furman might have had a few screw ups, but no one is able to deliver flawless stories. And it’s not that he’s “required” per say. The reason he still writes stories for Transformers is simply because he loves this franchise. Hell, he’s currently writing the best Transformers media we can get our hands on at the moment, “Transformers ‘84.”
@@StrykerPrimeProductionsconsidering the marvel comics had him a tyrannical auto bot leader and literally removed all of his intelligence since he literally saw intelligence as a weaknesses We have a fucking standard how hardcore we can take this character
Fun fact in a Transformers prime beast Hunters IDW comic. Slug helped a wounded decepticon named blackout and the two had a deep conversation about about the war and how long and painful it was alongside blackout talking about that is this how Primus is punishing us. Unfortunately blackout succumbed to his wounds and died. But his line “I don’t regret being a decepticon. I regret having this war last so long” will never leave my mind
Remember, in most continuities the decepticons were freedom fighters fighting against a corrupt cast system, while the autobots were mostly Citizens ignorant of the hardships of the lower classes, convinced by their government that the Decepticons were evil terrorist, which caused the Autobots to rise up against them. Decepticons are more violent and cruel by nature because most were either soldiers, slaves, or gladiators. All following Megatron, and Idealistic Freedom fighter turn tyrant after eons of non stop war.
Me Grimlock murdered non-combatants in cold energon! Me Grimlock considered war criminal under regulations of Pax Cybertronia! Primus will not forgive me Grimlock for me Grimlock's transgressions against me Grimlock's fellow Cybertronian!
I remember that balloon episode, Megatron tried to steal every balloon on planet earth, he discovered helium was highly flammable, so he set a gold to collect enough helium to destroy the autobots once and for all.😁
Spike's just got another problem, folding dishes. And Optimus Prime is gonna float away with all the balloons he's collecting, and Jazz is getting high off of helium.
@@povyourescrollingthroughco3153 understandable. I'd like to imagine that it would effect them the same way it effects us. Soundwave with helium: *high-pitched vocoded sounds* Optimus Prime: *high pitched sounds*
Golly jeez Grimlock, that there is what we called war crimes. It's okay though, everyone does it. We just cry ourselves to sleep at night and pretend everything is fine.
@@williamcrisp6032 technically, adopting a child is still the same as having child, just the difference is the child is not related to you, because it is someone else's child. What I'm saying is, you are still a parent, whenever you adopt a child into your care, or have a child that is biologically related to you, in your care. And, so he still has a child, just the child is not related to him.
I'm hugging him, right now. I'm now a femme autobot named Mitrotronanus. But sometimes, I get called by my evil decepticon name Megatron. *is hugging grimlock*
Yes. Spike apparently had a stroke and forgot the right phrase, which is "fold the clothes and put away the dishes" and he just apparantly fused the phrase into one which is "fold the dishes"
Its like the shuttle scene from the movie. I mean none of the deceptacons actually got a kill in millions of years, then got 4. And they pure chilled about it.
Well maybe they were telling the truth believe me I've been there grim I know it happened with a few friends of mine we found a enemy student from a rival School my friend said we should beat him up but I say let's just let him be my friend ignored me and beat him up even to this day I wish it did something so believe me sometimes doing the right thing could end up doing the wrong reason
I feel like I had a stroke while reading your comment, but anyways. I wouldn't be surprised if Starscream and the decepticon seekers went back to Cybertron, and got the rainmakers to take over for them on Earth.
What David Marcus needs to realize those series people are making fun of are being officially called documentaries. There’s a good reason why their appearance should be taken more seriously.
