I love Grin Technologies! Such high quality engineering.

I have a hub motor bike, I really like that it is absolutely silent, a friends planetary drive sounds like a coffee grinder by comparison. Good to see further development of the hub motor technology.

Grins credibility is well established.

Justin is one of the real pioneers in the E bike business. Their innovations have been revolutionary and his enthusiasm and knowledge are fun to witness. I watched his videos about powering a sailboat and I''ve never sailed! LOL He's a great ambassador for the industry. I'm very tempted by his all axle hub for my Catrike E trike. I have a Falco DD hub on the back wheel but gave up an 81spd 29" rear wheel (3 sp hub and 27sp derailleur) and I'd love to get that back and use a front hub motor. hmmm

Haven't been aboard Grin for awhile, I hope to be able to afford that bike they show here or something comparable. I've aged not so well and it hard to sit a two wheeler these days. ( Good job Justin)

Aren't the Heinzmann CargoPower motors oil-filled? Do they also leak?

I find hub motors great, unless it gets steep. Here a middle motor is more efficient and does not loose power so much.

Hub motors the big advantage, regenerative breaking, to charge the battery, a major advantage. For trikes it would work best with a mid mount transmission, shortening the chain and all the problems a long chain creates, two drive chains/ belts instead of one.
