Grind Hard Plumbing Co DO NOT RECYCLE THE SCRAP YET!!!, covid-19 has screwed up the prices for scrap I took 200kilos of steel to the scrap yard and only got $10 that’s 5c a kilo. I live In Australia and we send all of our stuff to China. Just be warned and maybe wait 👍

You can bend thin wall without kinking with the tools you have. Weld a cap on one end pack super tight with sand and weld a cap on the other end. Bend it then cut caps off

@Harry. B. Renner. jr. I've heard of sand packing, it's quite common, but as stated, time consuming. I've never heard of using springs. Same principle as when used inside a rad hose, I assume, but what's your trick for positioning it right at the bend, when the bend is 6' down the tube, and how do you get the spring out after? Tie a piece of wire and pull it out? (Honest questions, I'm intrigued)

@Harry. B. Renner. jr. Oh I've spent years doing custom exhaust work. I'm over a decade as a professional automotive technician, with a lot of that time spent doing custom fab work. Depending on the condition of your dies, grease doesn't really make much of a difference. If they're slipping, they're slipping, but I guess that depends on what type of bender you have. I'm more thinking for cages, or other structural stuff where you don't want welded joints if you can avoid it. I've had to make many a custom routed exhaust using 3 or 4 sections of mandrel bend to achieve a single turn. Also had to build sections using pie cuts for compound twists/bends. For exhaust work, I'd just make the bend a short enough section to fish the spring out of the end easily. For a continuous A-pillar, that may be 15' long, end to end, that's a little less reasonable.

They proper rolled it. Only way you get a scratched rocker cover and a broken seat. The "don't try this at home" would be "don't do 80 in a nugget demon cart on a speedway track that's still half covered in snow" Buuut I feel like that doesn't really need saying. Lol

Looking at all of your builds I am truly amazed that both of you are alive and still able to walk. That is a true testament to your skill as a driver and a fabricator. Some of your builds are extremely sketchy, dangerous to drive. I'm sure they are a lot of fun as well but some of them have a definite pucker factor. Keep up the great work and the interesting builds.

My buddy who has a big shop had the same issue with heat and we put a fan in each corner to circulate the air and insulated the garage door with foam an taped it and bam 100% difference!
