The sounds, the feelings, the weapons, the maps, a lot of things in this game where absolutely perfect and quite frankly people realized this way way too late
@@christianfrench2588that and the kill streak system. I put 7 days into this game and by far the two things I hardly used was kill streaks and grenades. Semtex was the only viable grenade and the tact’s were trash. I preferred the movement over BO3 personally
AW is still one of my favorite cod games to ever come out. I was like, 11 or 12 years old when this came out, and I poured several hundred hours into it as a child. Seeing this as a new player perspective, without going into the supply drops and weapon variants, plus zombies. its very nostalgic, and I miss the feeling this game gives me.
Advanced Warfare was trying to pull off something new that influenced the games going forward such as Infinite. Honestly it was exciting to have jet packs which made the multiplayer and its arenas very hectic, this game reminded me of Elysium in a way. The jump strafing especially made for really fast pushes and suprise attacks and the exo suit's abilities changed up your strategies in how you want to charge in and jump in, or if the fight gets too hot you can jump out easy and try and do a pincer attack or set up an ambush with a teammate. This game was awesome and I applaud it for trying to do something different.
This is far and away my favorite call of duty. I grew up with some real og cods and this one felt the most gunfight oriented. Streaks didn’t really take over the game unless it was DOM, and is lower SBMM lobbies most guns were useable. I wish this game was more populated, I’d love to hop in ranked, or hard point. But it’s just TDM now.
Man… I love this series, I remember hating this game as a kid after MW2-BO2 were so good. Looking back now it was rough around the edges but I can definitely appreciate them trying something new I still remember everyone complained after ghosts how stale the series felt so I can respect how much they changed and inspired movement systems in a number of following games. Ultimately if they made this game today people would probably praise it. Would love to see you go back and play WaW zombies since you didn’t in the original vid btw! The nostalgia and quality of your vids is top tier bro
Yea I think we had so many great games at the time people just had insane expectations and everybody couldn’t really be pleased. Also for sure man I have to go back to WaW eventually because I love that game. That game made this channel.
A top 5 COD for me. It was so much fun and the only people who didn’t like it were the ones who had shit movement. At one point I stopped using weapon variants and was still shitting on lobbies
The weapon variants and getting good guns from crates were fun. They made it easy enough to get crates without spending money. It’s really a shame people cried so much about a great game. Ppl in general were just getting tired of cod and blamed it on the developers of this game for no reason
I grinded this to prestige 1 back in April, i had a blast. People are so sweaty but it makes for a competitive lobby and i loved learning the movement and getting good at it was so fun. Cant wait for the video ❤
@theterriblepanda Yeah bro neither did I. I remember playing the campaign with my dad back when it released but gave it a go and loved it. Really enjoying this series dude! Top quality content man
In the chance you decide to pick this game up again and didn't know, here are some cool things specific to AW. All weapons (at least all the ones that use a magazine) have two kinds of reloads, normal and "tactical". Normal reload is at the standard speed and you put whatever ammunition is left in the magazine back into your reserves. "Tactical" reloads are much faster and can be done by double tapping the reload button, but if you do this you drop whatever ammunition is left in the magazine. You can customize your score streaks! You can make the UAV scan people through walls when it passes over them, things like that. The tradeoff is it increases the score needed to call it in. Hope that helps and my apologies if you knew all of this and it was totally redundant 😆 love the content!
@@theterriblepanda It’s okay. 10 years later I still haven’t got the HBR Insanity. One of the few issues I had with AW. Here’s hoping Sledge finally gets the OK to make AW 2
This is one of the call of duties i find myself returning to on a weekly basis. I played this game when it released but never got into it. Then last year i just fell inlove with the movement. I can confidently say this is the call of duty i am best at and the highest level aha. Great video!
I love finding people coming back to an underrated cod and liking it this was by far my favorite game sadly people only found out how good it was at the end of bo3 life
love seeing how well your channel is doing a suggestion that would round up all the zombie fanbase in your next bo3 video is playing 1 game on all the zombie maps bo3 has one of the best zombie map selections and it would be cool seeing you play a game on shadows of evil, revelations, gorod crovo and der eisendrache
Everyone hated this masterpiece of a game when it came out, all bc majority of the people couldn’t grasped the easy ass movement. This game was easy, it was fun, well made, and the SOUND DESIGN!! Amazing. My favorite COD besides BO1, I can’t believe this game got so much undeserved hate.
Change is always hard even when it may be good in the long run. Very risky move but I applaud them for trying. It gave us BO3 which I think was great and after playing more AW I can truly say it was a good game. I think we just have such high standards sometimes.
@@theterriblepanda people in this world will always find something to complain about, I wish I could revisit this game on pc. But the game is just dead now, it’s very sad. Was such a satisfying experience.
Once again another GOATed COD video from the goat himself, even the hate that this game gets it still brings back memories 🥲 Thank you Panda, I forgot how good this game was
Def one of my favorite cod games, and def SHGs best work imo. They actually tried and put some heart into creating this. i hope Activision lets them revisit AW some day.
Exo mute combined with Exo overclock, was used a lot in the ranked days. People used to listen to foot steps, so a foot step muting ability with a faster running ability is extremely good for the aggressive players in just about any ranked game mode. Exo Trophy System as well as Exo stim were also great picks. This game really turned into, whoever has the better variant or you have the S12
I remember the BAL-27 obsidian steel being like the most sought after variant for everyone, that thing was just too good. Loved playing this game, I have good memories. But I definitely don't miss the exo suits too much, but they were good, just not every game after AW had to have them. Games like titanfall do exo great.
FINALLY My most played COD, even with the stupid loot boxes, I still enjoyed the game a lot, game feeling was great, TTK was a medium which is right for a hig mov game, it has some really cool weapons, and my favorite part KILLSTREAKS CONFIGS, a Relly underrated system that should´ve come back in other CoDs...
watching you play these games man, i want to fire up my old console and hop back in. i miss the old cod's, all of them as i grew up playing them like i had no life hahah. thanks for this series Panda, keep it up! would be amazing watching you push prestige on BO1 and mw2
This wasn't a bad game tbh, yeah the movement was sketchy but being able to get different variations of weapons for free was amazing. I remember pulling the rare smg ( can't remember the name ) but I never looked at another gun after that
Fair warning if your grinding camos, Double kills are absolute cancer to get in this game. Most games give you a generous amount of time between kills for it to count as a double kill such as 4-10 seconds between kills but in Advanced Warfare it was 1.2 Seconds, not enough time given hardcore is a dead playlist and most of the guns can't get multiple kills without reloading unless you get lucly and both the kills are within hugging distance to each other. And if your planning on dedicating to unlock royalty "DO NOT prestige!". It resets camo progress on camos you haven't earned yet and it also relocks extended mags and all other attachments. And for most guns its a must to have extended mags if your camo grinding. Mainly the burst AR's the MK14, Burst SMG's The S-12 Shotgun without akimbo, has 12 shots without extended mags and 16 with extended mags, and it needs 15 double kills to unlock extended mags. Onlly AR i absolutely struggled with was the MK14 its a hitmarker simulator when it comes to the longshot camo challenges, takes 4 shots at long distance including if its all headshots, yeah this gun sucked getting diamond for. I recently played in 2021-2022 and i got royalty pistols SMG's and AR's in 2 months. One last thing, DLC weapons dont cpunt for getting royalty it must be vanilla weapons, but once earned it unlocks for all weapons of the category you earned it for. Your welcome M-16 grinders!.
i remember when this first came out a lot of people didn't like it cause of how fast they moved which opted them for the "floaty" type feeling in BO3. I just think people didn't have enough time to get used to the big movement change, and some people who have played games like that had a big advantage over players who only relied on their aim skill alone
This game looked genuinely exciting after the staled ass CoD Ghosts the year prior. Then they announced loot boxes that can be bought with real money I was like oh no...
I love this game, the campaign was severely underated along with Infinite warfare, also the gear customization is SOO cool, i wish they would bring that back instead of these cringy operators
I enjoyed this game a lot. But it is also by far the cod that made me rage the most. It had some of the highest highs and lowest lows for me personally.
Exo soldier gives you increased hip fire accuracy and lets you shoot your gun while sprinting and sliding; can't wait to see you on bo3. (I commented yesterday, but ig yt deleted it?)
I’m not sure I didn’t see it and I don’t think I deleted it unless I did by accident somehow or maybe it never went through. I’m excited for BO3 as well. I think I’m going to do a part 2 for BO1 and then do the BO3 video.
1. Are you playing on Xbox or pc with an Xbox controller? 2. What is your average wait time to find a game because I would love to come grind this game again
AW is a solid CoD game. What holds it back are the jump packs for movement, the maps are not suitable for it. Also, should have had a boots only option.
I really did enjoy the weapon variations in this game. Not once did I pay for loot boxes or whatever they are called and I still got some amazing weapons like the bal obsidian I believe it was and a few other weapons. I hated the game because how quick the jump boost action was but I also didn’t like how slow it was in black ops 3.
Some tips, Blast suppressor is easily the best perk in the game. You show up on the radar every time you use your exo suit without it. The pistols are pretty bad. Usable, but bad. ARs and LMGs dominate in this game, unless you have the movement to get in close. Your killstreaks have attachments that make them OP as fuck. Some of the variants of the weapons are actually broken as well(BAL Obsidian Steed, ASM1 Speakeasy, HBRA3 Insanity, etc.)
Your game sense is actually really good. Your mental strategy is outpacing your aim which is super fair considering its a 10-year-old game and you're on controller. Thing is, no matter how good you are or get to be... Someone will always be better. Have you ever tried M&K?
I played this game for a month or 2 after launch, then spent another year on BO2. It did not live up to the quality of the previous games. Looking back, this was definitely one of the cods of all time.
Titanfall’s bаstard. I like weapons and how they sound here. So crunchy and powerful. Back in 2014 I was so excited to play it but at the end was so much disappointed. It’s like I’m not having much fun trying to handle that awkward vertical gameplay piece of work. Strange, but in TF2 I had no complains about it. I kinda expected it’s gonna be refreshing but as good as other CODs (except ghosts) playing which I actually feel right at home. Even so this fella looks pretty neat it’s lil weird in its design and moves they offer quite smooth but still clunky. And player skins are terrible for my taste. Exo stuff with awkward helmets looks hilarious. Too sterile, you know. And NO fractions again, and never again furthermore. All players look same but nicknames color above, it’s how you spot enemies. I have no reason to ever play that weirdo again. But it’s a pleasure to watch it after many years. It’s not so bad, but this game is no return point for this series. Cod4 remaster not much less plastic, than AW. Wasn’t too bad with BO3.. but I found that I have no any warm memories playing them.
The game was sick when it released, but the variants where insanely imbalanced and to me its what eventually killed the game 8 months later and got me back on bo2 or titanfall
Before Activision started their garbage. You're making me want to load it up and see what variants i have, i know there was some really good stuff in that list.
I didn't play Advanced Warfare, but I recognized pipeline too from cod4 lol I wonder how many other maps are simply reskinned maps from previous games.
Sometimes you get on these older games and the kids are MORE sweaty than on the new games or they just do insane tactics like camp with a shotgun and riot shield 😭
I honestly really enjoyed AW! I understand it wasn't the best CoD, but i believe it gets a little overhated. The micro transactions of course in any game is a bad thing, but I feel this game did it the best might be biased, but i got mostly everything i wanted from supply drops without spending money. I can't say that for any CoD beyond this.
