Simple Grinding Rest Part 1 for Bench Grinders to Sharpen End/Slot Mills. Here showing some (explanation on how it works and what i am going to do to Modify it for easier use ) it's a great little Grinding Rest from the book Workshop Practice Series 38 (loose plans) designed by harold hall.
I built this many years ago, it's very simple and cheap to make, only takes around one or two days and very effective for sharpening end and slot mills for Hobby work on any conventional bench grinder.
However there are some niggling design problems that affect the various adjustment and here I show how I am going to modify it to my design for easier use.
Been meaning to modify it for years, but like many things it got put to the back of the list repeatedly !!!!!! just like many job's do!!!!!
