It definitely did what it was supposed to do. Add protection and leave some gloss as well. Griots was honest and transparent about it being low sudsing so I don't really understand the disappointment. It's true to its label. Great video 👍🏻

All ceramic infused soaps don’t sud like a traditional soap. Perfectly normal. Suds are not needed as long as it’s providing lubrication. We are just so used to seeing foam as in important attribute in the states. Looks like it did what it claims.

I'm confused. You're disappointed that a product is doing EXACTLY what the manufacturer said it would do. Low suds means low suds. Why were you so surprised? Nice car though. I highly suggest getting some protection on that paint in the near future.

Talked to Griots this morning......this is doing exactly what they told me it would do. I used their ceramic coating.....very awesome. I ordered it for additional longevity of the ceramic coating

I just used this on a detail. Wasn’t getting a lot of foam and was like WTF! 🤣 But I adjusted it says to apply and wash quickly! So after my first fail I foamed half then washed. Then used the griots 3-1. Great results!

Knowing it leaves a protection behind I didn't have expectations it would foam well. I used a prewash citrus foam, carpro reset as contact wash followed by wash and coat in foam cannon as a second contact wash and ceramic speed shine as a drying aid. Fantastic results on a salt and road grime covered black f150.

It's not staying sudsy (and no ceramic washes stay sudsy) BECAUSE of the silicone compounds in it. Silicone compounds are purposely added to some chemicals, soaps, and especially waterless washes as defoamers. They have low surface tension, which not only helps repel water, but also doesn't allow bubbles to stay formed. Foam adds slickness to low or otherwise not so slick soap mixtures by creating surface tension and a barrier between a mitt and the car. Foam isn't necessary if the soap is still slick enough without it, tho it does help a little more to prevent scratches. Foam is more necessary when it comes to decontamination and especially wax stripping using high alkaline soaps since it will stick to the car longer allowing it to do it's thing without drying quickly either. It's not 100% necessary for slickness to prevent scratches, but helps, and not at all necessary to remove grime nor does it promote the removal of grime no matter what marketers want you to believe. It doesn't "encapsulate and lift away", but it can allow grime, contams, wax, etc to be exposed to moisture longer, to be moved away easier with water or a mitt. Since ceramic washes behave this way like in the video, best practice is to not waste product in a foam cannon. Use the foam cannon with your normal soap as a no-touch wash by spraying on, allowing to dwell, and thoroughly rinsing off as a decontamination and presoak step prior to using the Ceramic Wash with a 2 bucket method, or single bucket using multiple mitts and towels (like 6 to 12) since it doesn't dilute the Ceramic wash more and ensures a truly clean mitt or towel every panel. If you don't believe me about the defoaming properties, look up the SDS sheets for most popular new age waterless washes and waterless wash and waxes. They will all contain some form of silicone/siloxane compound at a low concentration of like 0.5%-5% depending on if it's a wash or wash and wax version.

I have not used this product yet but griots is all I use. They did state when announced that it wouldn't foam as much as other products. Looks like it got the job done to me those. Love the car.

It was squeaky after the application because the product has to set up for a bit. Then it becomes slick. Just like the ceramic spray wax they offer, it does the same thing. It works amazing by the way.

That wheel woolie on the extendable wand is pretty slick. Did you make that yourself? You need to look into adding something like that to your line of products. That actually might sell pretty well.

You should try out the new "Meguiar's Polymer Wash And Wax". Works really well and only $13 for a gallon at Costco.

Appreciate the video! I have never liked any of the soaps that add gloss enhancers or 'ceramic' properties. They all seem like gimmicks. I prefer soaps to clean and if I want to add gloss enhancements then use a product specific to it. You can do a little of everything good or okay with a product. Or do it right with the right products and take a little extra time.

Going off what all was said in the video & comments & I just used it as poly gloss. I measured it out in my foam cannon, applied, let it dwell for 2 mins, & rinsed. I would have left it longer but didn't want it to streak. It still left a coating without having to agitate. Which I figured would be the case because the vehicle is already clean & agitation doesn't "activate" the ceramic properties. Maybe spread it around for an even application sure, but I'd think that's what a nice, thick layer of foam would do too. Guess I'll find out how long this will last. It was sprayed on 1 coat of 3 in 1 that was previously old, endured days of snow, ice, & almost nonstop rain.

I've used this on my car and I'm really happy with it for my intended purpose. The car has a couple of coats of Ceramic 3-in-1 Wax that are a few months old, so the hydrophobic properties are starting to go. So I use my normal wash foam first, rinse the car, and then use Ceramic Wash & Coat more like how Griot's Foaming Poly Gloss is used.. I just spray it on, quickly run a wash mit over the paint (since the car is already clean), then spray the product off. It works great to build onto my existing Ceramic 3-in-1, and as you saw, it adds more shine and hydrophobic properties. It serves my base coat well. It's nice that Ceramic Wash & Coat washes, I guess, but I'm happy with my existing car wash soap. This new product just makes it really easy to add further protection to my car, including on glass, trim, etc.

I had a similar feeling applying it with their foamer on my white Porsche 911. I did not see any foam so I wasn't really sure if the product was doing something or not. I ended going back to the traditional wash from Griot's after I finished the bottle.

Pair with Griot's 3 in 1 Ceramic Wax should be an amazing combination

Used the product and definitely a fan. I did wash with a different soap with heavier suds and follow up with the ceramic wash and only using this in between wash. The coating applied appears to hold up decently.

Used the one advertising o . TV. Worked great..last a long time and shine..🙌🙌😍

I use there other soap (the pink one) hose and bucket method and it doesn't sud up heavy at all either, but it definitely does the job. I like their products.

Adams graphene shampoo works great with foam cannons, super thick lubricating foam.

Bilt Hamber is a fantastic product for pre saok rinse and especially in the foam cannon, if you haven't tried Bilt Hamber u are surely missing out

No ceramic soap keeps suds thats just how it is with the chemistry. While it may not be sudsy it’s still slick and is doing what’s it’s advertised to do.

Ceramic infused shampoos are definitely not intended to clean filthy cars. They're meant to add a small layer of protection quickly and easily. If a run into a super dirty car, I was it with a stronger soap that I can over dilute and then follow up with a ceramic shampoo. Griots is one of the best I've found especially for the price. Ethos and Turtle Wax are the 2 other options that work well if you can't get your hands on this one.

I would use this primarily in a wash bucket anyway....

Exactly like poly gloss but with some cleaning capabilities. I’ll stick with 007 snow storm and use this as a topper after I wash and rinse. Would be good for the other vehicle that doesn’t get the garage.

This product will make your car a dust magnet. You need to finish it with a detailing/ drying aid spray to add slickness.

Just in case there are more slow people like the ones that made this video, what you’re supposed to do is take a soap, I use griots pink bottle of wash soap, clean the entire vehicle and then dry it, I then use the foam cannon with the ceramic foam wash and then do section by section and use a sponge to work the ceramic wash into the vehicle so it lasts longer. Just for the outside I charge $60 for the wash and then the ceramic foam wash.

I used Dr. Beasley's ceramic coat shampoo not much suds either better to use after say foam the car and do a contact wash with say Ca Pro Reset then foam with a ceramic shampoo let dwell then rinse to boost the ceramic coat on the car. I tried some but not something I buy again . I also have used Polish Angel version also and it had little suds.

Kinda feels like the 5 in 1 shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothpaste, lotion stuff! Not sure if stuff can do multiple different things well. Still seems better to have a dedicated product for different things. But I’m SO GLAD there’s channels like yours to show & educate us on this stuff! Also does something NEED to have suds to be a good cleaner, or is it kinda a placebo effect?

And then you went from bottom up, probably bringing high contamination from the road to the higher bits of the car.

Most, if not all SiO2 soaps, don’t suds very much. Supposed to still be plenty of lubrication and protection but you don’t see suds. I’m not a fan, CarPro Reset is still my soap of choice.

It’s funny you keep saying not much suds but that’s what it’s supposed to be it doesn’t create a lot of suds as described by Griots and and it did what it had to do wash the car and left behind a coat of protection seems. It seems to have worked the car looks great. If you’re looking for high suds and a lot of foam Griots make these as well. Most if not all ceramic washes do not make a lot of suds but I have high levels of lubrication so the paint does not get scratched.

I wash with something eles. Then use that in my foam cannon.

It’s a ceramic soap what did you ceramic. Foam is not thick they don’t make shaving cream texture

I think a lot of detailing RU-vidrs have made the norm of the foam cannon to be like shaving foam thick and not regular foam. I would rather prefer regular foam over thick foam because I’m just using too much product to get that thick shaving foam

Can’t find a video you posted about griots foam surface prep; Anyways I tried it out this morning it’s completely trash I’m talking about removing grime and road film and crap like that sorry for my Bad language but water was till beading after 2 foam applications no cleaning qualities at all what did I did wrong? And maybe my sense of smell is not good or i it’s dead couldn’t smell very much the fragance you said it was kind of stinky maybe I bought a fake product?

No suds just like the Turtle Wax Ceramic Soultions Wash and Wax. Not really hard to figure out why. The Si02 is what interfers with the suds.

I've used their spray wax and was not happy with it..it leaves smugg marks on the car..it does have a nice smell tho.

Tip for the future scrub the bottom half of the car with a separate scrubber when he worked from bottom up I had to close my eyes painful to watch

I’m confused why you’re confused about a product working as advertised.

my brothers and sisters, hear me out. Suds dont equal clean. Suds equal heavy mild degreasing agent which isnt always great for paint and works against ceramic sio2 formula. When you think suds, Dawn dishsoap comes to mind. They clean ducks and dishes. Not cars.

Griots literally saying this product is low-suds: “Why is this not foaming?” Foam doesn’t make a product better or worse. Optimum No Rinse is highly lubricated and makes no suds. Foaming is just a bi-product of soaps, not necessarily an indicator of whether it has high lubricity.

2oz of soap per gallon in a bucket wash. You needed about double the soap you used I think.
