in the pause menu there are hidden achievements u can track and within the world there is a main building where u track your collectibles

This the prettiest game this year, sure the game play is a little stale but is perfect to play after a bad day at work. May need to consider when there's a sale. Your daughter is quite good BTW and appears to enjoy the game

I just finished and your review encapsulates everything I felt about the game. Yes in the first 30s (and until the very end) I was utterly captivated by the visuals, the music, and the atmosphere. I feel similarly about the collectibles, I wish they would have made them more rewarding, as well as having more of them to explore the world. All in all, this is a work of art and I would highly recommend.

Fantastic graphics. Great audio and sound track. The whole time I was thinking just visually with the audio a short movie with no dialogue in this format would be aesthetically pleasing.

Didn't know although the art looked famaliar, huge fan of Conrad Rosset even got some Escoda Signature Brushes from the man. Great Review enjoyed it alot and will have to get this one before its black friday sale is over. Thx again.

Dude, sorry that I'm super late, was out in the road for the weekend, ok let's start, the most obvious best part is the art, the music and the pencil colour, just beutiful, full of life, just telling the story with pictures, the gameplay service enough to enjoy, yeah I also feel funny when the plataformer doesn't have a doble jump, oh changing gameplay is nice, the collectables looks disappointing, oh the bosses looks ok, probably will wait for a discount but like a % 10 is enough for me, happy gaming :)

There's some replayability actually, for the achievements (collectibles) that are in fact present in the game. The game even lets you keep track of them via the Tab key ("challenges") as well as murals in the main hub of the game with icons referencing what, in the end, the game will call "chapters" and use as reference points for the specific levels you can replay without having to redo the whole journey again... so, yes, there are collectibles, not one but two systems to track them, which in turn offer - and streamline - replayability.

I bought Gris soon after watching your video, and just finished the journey. In terms of gameplay, yeah it’s not perfect at all. But the visual art and OST compensates everything. The most beautiful game I’ve ever played. I may play Gris again only for the aesthetics :) p.s) I’m not so sure whether there were more stars than necessary, because I felt the plot is quite linear, regardless of direction the player takes. There seems to be no sideway or turning back. Even the “continue” button after the ending only takes me to the last part of the game. It’s a little strange that I cannot revisit previous areas to find the stars I missed; What would be the purpose of collectibles then? Further, the sky did not look empty at all, in the last scene :) Anyway, nice review as always!!

I know I’m replying to a 3 year old comment, but it just caught my eye because I’m hoping you found out that after the ending you are able to go back to previous chapters to collect mementos you missed!

WalkThePlank Gaming Get this. It's pretty reasonably priced and it's a lovely little game. Journey is a good game but not on Switch. Abzu check out my review on they one. (Mark)

This is usually not my style game but I was very impressed by the the art style in the game I'm a sucker for hand-drawn games they look so nice and I love Bastion dust love the hand-drawn art style it just works so well for video games I will with you mostly about the game play there are times where you think that this should be a object that you can walk on but you fall through this can sometimes very annoying I have not beat the game yet I am doing a very slow paced I was going to get this for my girlfriend and my daughter which I'm sure they'd appreciate the game a little bit more then I would it's fun so far look forward to seeing the ending of the game for all those who do like hand-drawn games and beautiful music this is a game for you thank you for the awesome recommendations look forward to your next video

Ok so I'm totes watching this in the corner of my screen at work and I had to stop and stare. The design, colors, animation....it's all breathtaking and absolutely gorgeous! Watched till the end! lol well...onto the next video and back to work! lol XD I am trying to hard to win that Hellblade copy...BUT! do know...I am genuinely interested in your videos and look forward to all future content. lol the only console I own is a Switch, I've been a Nintendo fanatic since the NES, SNES, N64, and Gameboy Color days of old.

I played Child of Light years ago and absolutely loved it. The art style, and the music were my favorite things about that game, although, I did like the RPG/Strategy elements. When I saw this game I had to buy it. Love the art in this as well. I’m going to look for more games like this one. I was a little bummed that I was done playing it in such a short time frame, but I enjoyed everything.

Yeah I’m a sucker for beautiful visuals and the music sounds great. I love games like Abzu ( they should have it in vr ) shadow of the colossus, even night in the woods where we can appreciate games not just for gameplay but as an artistic and emotional experience. Wish-listing this for sale 💸

Qurious Qat I wouldn’t say boring but rather calming. It’s only a puzzle game. The “bosses” (they aren’t really bosses but more threats that don’t hurt you but chase you.) ramp things up a bit.

I know this is an old video but just discovered your channel and love your reviews. Wish I’d have seen this review before buying this game, I didn’t enjoy it at all, boring game and repetitive.
