The fact that this was played without percussion should be highly appreciated. It's really difficult to maintain this drive without cajon or palmas. Perfect !
Stunning. No much more needs to be said. Very few get to this level, and this is the game Grisha likes the most and obviously is best at. He is a beast.
Excelente.
@@zackcoffmanguitar Not to mention Bach himself was a virtuoso who probably played his own music better than anyone since considering he wrote it and knew exactly how it should sound!
Stop comparing.... Paco, Bach and Beethoven are laughing on you, comparing them. Only amateurs in Music are comparing. Also, Bach Bethoven and Paco are from 3 different Epochs - different type of music.
Beyond perfection, I don't know who disliked this, I rarely comment on RU-vid but, this was unbelievable, I've been watching him for six years, thus was his best performance
Nobody approaches a song like this unless they're extremely passionate about it and their instrument. I'm sure Paco would be thrilled to see fellow guitarists out there still performing Flamenco. I've always been into technical death metal but I REALLY like Flamenco now! The accenting patterns, the compss and alternating rhythmic structures are what I like in my music!
No doubts, he is the best after Paco. Yes he is rush sometimes but still no one on RU-vid can play this song or other paco's song very accurately like. Keep going buddy and don't pay attention to the haters 🌹🌹🌹
Bravo!!
I was sceptical but now i feel like he caught the spirit of Almoraima well. Sure at some point he should play his own stuff but dont let that take away from how perfect he performed here please.
Fingers seemingly "made" for the guitar-- long, slender, strong and nimble-- very assisting for this particular instrument, a platform on which to build excellence.
well that's one way to describe a guitar. a platform... for excellence building. you Russian, too, by any chance? because that's the most Russian sounding thing I've ever heard
Sorry, we know he can play Almoraima. but this is playback!! One can clearly notice that at 1:12 to 1:26 the instrument sound changes from Guitar to Laud!
All the Grisha haters are probably posers from Spain who won't accept that someone outside of spain is dominating their culture. No one can play like Sabicas and Paco de Lucia. Grisha is the only one close enough.
I can confirm that. Typical ignorants who talks about "duende" but they cannot stop hearing shitty techno-rumbas and low quality music that they call "flamenco"
Yes, gess you are right, but dont think all spaniards think so, im spanish, andalusian, and i profoundly admire grisha and his work. People dont hate him because he is an outsider, but because they are jealous.
"Dominating their culture" What a joke. Listen to Rafael Cortes (on youtube) He dominates Grisha because he plays his own music and he is able to play every Paco piece if he wants to, sometimes even faster. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-h-gHp8y55rI.html
@@mike-myre-djuromo3090 Your answer has no relation to what i was writing above. Within flamenco culture there is no "composition" in the strict sense (exception : impetu by Sagreras ) unless you call improvisation a kind of composition. Flamenco exists by spontaneous interaction of dancer, singer, guitar player and percussion . Please show me Grishas own improvising, when he plays his own buleria, his own taranta , his own alegria. If he cannot do so, he is just a virtuoso player, not a flamenco player.
Grisha is actually ,an excellent guitarist, and he is also promoting the conservation of masterpieces ,like the one we heard . But he is not a gitano. Flamenco is voice and cante above all.The question is : has no one a footage where Grisha is playng with jitanos cantaores ?
Nice mix of the Paco with the Grisha. I would've preferred just Grisha, since it's much easier with having Paco's in the background. But good job nevertheless. I'll show this to Ruben Diaz and see what he thinks, since he's the real authority on Paco.
It is not easy to write your own compositions like this one (by Paco de Lucia). There are so many guitarists but not so many composers writing pieces for guitar.
