Late in the spring grizzly bear mother with her three cubs. I was on the way to pick up my game camera when I noticed this grizzly bear family snacking on wet grass, its rare to see three babies grizzly cubs. The mother grizzly did not noticed me for some time, I was able to film them, for protection I had only pepper spray, my dog, and I was driving small open golf car, so to escape if she would came after me was a small chance. But as soon as she noticed me, she stood up and start smelling the air to get sense where is the danger, then she start running away from me and her three cubs follow her through the fences into the bushes, I got my dog and fast left too, still had cold chills on my back, I was very exited of seeing them, but somewhere inside I had sad feeling that this beautiful, strong animal knows the danger of humans...

Fascinating. Grazing like cattle. Yes being aware and leery of humans is sadly an essential survival tactic for bears and most other wild animals. The rain doesn't bother them a bit with their nice thick coats.

YOU ARE SO RIGHT-so sad that they know the dangers of humans and their sick desire to hunt these beautiful animals. THESE ANGELS ARE BEAUTIFUL-- LOVELY footage. WE have bears too, and respect them and LOVE them, but watch from INSIDE the house!! They are fascinating to watch. We would never hunt any animal, and our motto is: ANIMALS RULE !!!! Love black bears. Lucky you! I don't know how you get anything done around there, since it seems like all you do is film and pet animals all the time. Ha ha! I don't have any bears but I can relate to how much fun it is to have a lot of pets and wildlife around, most of the time. I've got 4 cats that hog up most of the bed, and I haven't gotten to use the bathroom alone for years. Thanks again for the glimpse of bears being bears though. Super cool.

You were so lucky to see this beautiful family. It is actually in their best interest to be wary of humans as it will protect them from potential yahoo immoral trophy hunters, I think all trophy hunting of bears or any animal should be illegal. Hunting for food is very different even though I am vegetarian I can respect sustenance hunting but not killing for sport and fun, that is cruel.

I'm vegetarian too, but that has more to do that I can't digest meat. Hunting for sport is a no go and is cruel. Hunting for food, I don't like that eather but as the native tribes go on hunting for food they first do a ceremony to honour the soul/ spirit from the animal. In Europe I met native Indian people from several tribes and they explained how to work with nature in total respect of every living being ( animals, plants/herbs) That was the reason why tbey came to Europe to learn us be respectfull with everybody. I think that suits the above comment well. Don't hunt for just fun, only for what yyou need to eat/ survive. Thank you. Love from @msterdam😘

I understand this love of nature and the land and all, I feel it myself, but to be able to live in a place such as this you must feel like the luckiest man on earth! No kidding . Run. With babies , I hear the moms are nasty. If my Male ever comes out off my woods walking like that ,I suspect I would faint on the spot. He is not affraid of me or the dogs. That's scarry. He needs to bring all the goods back that he has taken. He twisted the very strong wire that i put on my feeder for birds cakes, He opened it took the food , left the little cage this time. He normally takes the whole thing. He seems to love peanutbutter and bread also. I put peanutbutter on bread then put nuts and seed on it and press it good , I can see why he loves it. Really likes the jelly one's also, Sugar water for hummingbirds. They will rip things apart to get to that, I had to quit. A brown bear was trying to climb the wall to get to it. First and last BROWN one I've seen. Thank You God.

Yesterday a friend from the same high school we attended m any decades ago, posted a video of a mama grizzly with her 3 cubs close to their house in New Hampshire. He said that the mama was missing her right foot :-( I hope you do not mind, but I shared your video of mama bear and 3 cubs in a private message on his Facebook page. I admit that I've known bears to "graze" on grass like cattle or horses, so I found your video fascinating! Do you mind sharing where you are located [as in are you in the US, and if so, what state]? Not trying to be nosy, just admiring your beautiful scenery. A friend sent me snapshots of the land they bought many years ago in Montana and it is beautiful too. Take care.

Those are Black Bear. We have them all around us. Black Bear do not eat much meat. They mostly eat stuff they find on the ground. Grubs and other bugs, some vegetation. They don't want to get near humans and will usually run away when confronted with a human unless they feel threatened or have young with them. If I forget to bring my bird feeders in at night they will raid them. Sometimes the will do it in the daytime but usually only during the fall feeding frenzy. Their hunger goes on overdrive just before winter as they need to store up fat for the winter. They love bird seed. Keep your garbage locked up tight because they can smell if from miles away and it will attract them to your yard.
