A little about the planer, why I chose it, and some test cuts I made with it. I'm very happy with this planer, it's a big improvement from the typical benchtop planers I've had.

I like the idea of using that cart to set the planer base at the same height as your table saw, or any table for that matter, to use as infeed/outfeed. Nice work sir.

You should be using your column locks all the time, not just the final pass.

@cb4920 I'll say no to that. Who waste their time locking the column for every pass. No shop I have ever been in does that. Last pass or 2 is good enough, especially if you have a lot of lumber to process.

Yeah I could, but I've been flipping the boards to eliminate some defects as I go. Either way would work. Besides I wanted to give the planer a good run in to get used to it and see how she worked. Very happy with it so far.
