If you can't tune your saw then away from it.

I've had their G0661 Contractor's Saw for 12 years. I don't like the fact that there's no standard insert for it, Zero Clearance only. I'm currently modding some Leecraft Inserts and hopefully one will turn out to be a Standard Full Clearance insert when I'm finished. The T-Square Rip Fence has steel faces that flex when you clamp anything, and it dips in several thousanths of an inch mid length. I'm probably gonna end up buying a 36" SawStop fence system as it's currently the best Biesemeyer clone on the market, and that'll make the saw even better.

Good luck! Let me know if it improves your situation. I'm considering a fence change myself.

the insert should rest on top of the screw heads. turn the screw heads to flush the top of the insert to the table

I bought the same saw about a week after they introduced it. Everything you mentioned as "dislikes" I agree with but I'd add how much I disliked the stamp metal extension wings and the fact there is no onboard tool storage. Since then, I've added a fourth castor wheel and replaced the wings with the cast iron upgrade (SKU# T33908 - $225 and well worth it). My fence moves just like yours does when clamped down, if you've figured it out, I'd love to hear your solution. Thanks for posting the video.

Get you an Allen wrench that fits a quick connect extension for your cordless drill. Use that to remove your access panels. Or change the screws to a Phillips head and do the same thing. I’ve had the G1023SLW for 18 years. The Shop Fox fence that came with it does the same thing. I was the cabinet builder for a pro cabinet shop for some years. Their Biesemeyer was the same way. My first Craftsman saw was too. I’ve seen some videos where the Harvey fence does not. I’d research that if you were interested. My saw has leveling Allen screws built into each corner. When I made my own zero clearance plate, I drilled and tapped the piece to give me the same leveling.

Got the exact same saw when it came out. Took a while to put together but a really solid saw and it was a great price. My only gripe is as you stated the 3 wheel design, so damn dangerous to move even on a flat surface. Other than that awesome product.
