In almost every way, yes. They require a tremendous amount of energy to deploy which rob you of penetration. That’s assuming they do deploy. They are also prone to breakages and even when they work properly, are typically garbage after one use. They have become popular because they are more forgiving of bad bow and arrow tuning, requiring less effort on behalf of the archer. Much the same reason stainless steel has replaced high carbon. However, as Dr. Ed Ashby established a long time ago, nothing beats the penetrating power of a fixed, cut on contact single bevel.
150 or 200 even. I would put more weight to the broadhead than to the insert. But best thing is to go watch the ranch fairy on RU-vid, it will change your life.
That's what I would do. I'd figure out how much weight you want forward and put as much to the broad head. I would go with the 100 grain outsert from ethics and a 200 grain cutthroat.
