Hello ladies -- I'm a little behind and just catching up with podcasts this weekend. Love you both!! All of your projects are so amazing, and the enabling ...aaaaahhhhhhhhhh!! In a good way. 😀 And thank you so much for the kind mention. 💜💜💜
Did you know that April 15th is Tax Day in the US. My 9 year old grandson came into my room and said, "Abuela, who are you talking to?" He caught me talking to my laptop. I was talking to the Grocery Girls! I have lost my mind! I love your show and I have seen every one of your podcasts (and I talk to you on every one)!
Well, Jodi, I do believe I cracked some ribs from laughing at your bathroom experience! I haven't laughed that hard in ages. Loved the gorgeous shawls and socks!!
Another great podcast. And! Doing the Craftsy thing gives me more of you guys! So win win for me! Love all you do. And you so yarn enable me. lol Lots of love sent your way. You both rock! Got to say. I love seeing the photos of you guys through the years. Loved your wedding photos. Wonderful!
Y'all are total enablers! Thanks to recently finding your podcast (and catching up on back episodes) I am now waiting on all the yarny goodness that you have convinced me I need! 😜 Love watching you, ladies!
I cannot begin to tell you how much I love watching you guys! You are hilarious....you guys make me LITERALLY laugh out loud every podcast.Thank you for laughs and yarny goodness!
I laughed so hard. Every time Jodi yelled GEORGIA! Lol. It's like a drinking game.... every time Jodi shouts Georgia you take a drink. That would be awesome.
Can you imagine if the girl in the bathroom had turned around and said "Are you Jodi from the Grocery Girls?"... Hilarious as usual, thank you ladies xxx
Hi Ladies, just watched you, my ribs ache, my eyes have been running and my dogs are wondering what the heck is wrong with their sedate Mum. You have had me crying with laughter thank you😄👍 Jodi the tote bag isn't to big it's gorgeous, I knit and crochet and have made some larger bags to accommodate y crochet blankets in progress. The blanket and several balls will fit nicely into that size plus I keep earphones in each bag so I don't disturb anyone whilst listening to podcasts or my favourite radio podcast The Archers. I'm pretty sure they will fly off the shelves and yes a pocket does come in handy.😄💕💕
You ladies are so fun! Jodi, your recent comment "there's room enough for everybody" ( encouraging people to start podcasting/dyeing etc) was the umph I needed to start my own channel. Thank you!
Oh yes come to Edinburgh next year. This is how I plan to celebrate my 40th (first time going) knitting and buying 40 skeins of yarn 😄can't wait. My husband is coming but will probably go off whiskey tasting.
So glad I found you girls! Your tips and reviews are amazing. I have been watching your old episodes so I don't miss anything. Keep up the fantastic work!
Love it, as always! Jodi, you are on fire with those socks! Too funny, I just finished a pair of socks in yarn from Ontheround (in the After the Storm colorway), and was working on a shawl in another of her colors as I watched you showing off her yarn! Can't wait to see what you do with that skein of Mavis, I've got one of those sitting in my stash from Christmas that I can't wait to cast on! And Tracie, your Snowmelt is absolutely stunning - so fun to see how all the different color combinations came out! Now if only I could find the time to sit down and get past clue 2 ;-)
You are a treat :) Love watching you and knitting. I have some projects on the go but started my first sock too (because of you) :) . Had a struggle with the circulars, I could not find nice needles in our local stores, just the 0,75 cent Turkish needles, so I ordered addi's OMG! Love them:) Thank you again for doing this!! Love YOU!!!! Ilze from Bulgaria :)
Tracie, I'm exactly the same place on my Pure Joy shawl. It is my third shawl and I agree that it would be an excellent first shawl. Kudos to you, Jodi, for introducing us to new dyers. I just started watching Amy on Stranded and she's so much fun!
You ladies are completely so cool. Thank you for sharing your life :) and knitting! I'm so glad I'm subscribed to your channel, because I'm guaranteed an awesome day after I spend my mornings hanging with the coolest, for real Tubers!
I love your Podcasts! I have to admit - I've been binge-watching for the last couple of weeks. I actually saw your Craftsy podcast first and found you through that and I just love the two of you. :-) I live in Dallas, TX and I've only been knitting since August (I've been a Quilter for 17 years), and I am so inspired by you. Thanks!!
What a lovely podcast - you always make me laugh. I so loved that tote bag Jodie that I have ordered one - I must have one. Can't wait for it to arrive.
Ok Ladies, I love your show so much. I mean, duh right? But I just have to say, you need to have t-shirts made....visualize this...plain white (or any solid color really) with big, black, block letters on the front that read, "Georgia!" with a cute little Grocery Girls logo on the hem or something. Just saying'. I'd buy one.
i genuinely lol'd many times in this episode, now every time I tighten a stitch I'll be sure to "give it a tug" bah ha haaa your bathroom shenanigans craaaaacked me up!!! oooh maaaan you guys rock
Jodi and Tracie!!! I'm just getting back from Edinburgh and Ireland, and all of my friends are telling me that you spoke about me in the podcast. Thanks for the mention. Edinburgh was such a dream. I definitely have to go back again, and spend more time there. There are so many tourist attractions that I have yet to see. My best advice, travel like a minimalist, and be prepared to check a second bag on the way home. The yarns are so gorgeous. I fell in love, and immediately hand would 2 skeins so that I can start a sock. Your podcast is fun and hilarious as always. I've watched the episode more than once. You make me want to knit ALL THE SOCKS!!!!! Stay fabulous! Live life to the fullest! Knit to your hearts content! Love you ladies.
Awesome episode ladies! Love your shawl Tracie, and all of the socks! Beautiful tote bags and socks Jodi! You could probably use them as reusable grocery shopping bags. Happy St. Patrick's day! (it's after midnight lol) Tomorrow(Saturday)is my birthday and I am going yarn shopping in Toronto, I need to get some yarn for the Reyna Shawl that I plan to cast on. Lots of love ❤️! Marie
OMG! I'm only at 6:48 and I almost choked on the banana I'm trying to eat. Jodie! Keeping it real. I love it. Going back to listen to the end of this particular blooper!
Thanks for another great podcast and giggles. I thought I would pass along a video on you tube for colour changing and weaving in at the same time by: Dye Another Day "how to change colours and weave in ends as you go". Thanks again. 🇨🇦
I found you on Craftsy and have enjoyed you here on Grocery Girls. You are so fun. Knitting is one of the things I do that gives me a great deal of joy. Its nice that you love it too.
Just ordered the Woolberry Fiber Co Golden Pineapple. I have been looking for a cute yellow and LOVE this one! Great podcast ladies. ❤❤❤ from New Hampshire.
omg, how epic would it be if you both came to EYF next year? As if this year wasn't filled with enough awesomeness what with meeting both Eric and Nathan in one day. So much fun. Great episode... I can't believe how many socks Jodi got finished, it takes me forever to knit one! Loving that On The Round yarn too, had to go find her on IG. Enabling doesn't cover what you two do lol. Tracie, your Pure Joy looks stunning. Been working on mine this week too and yes, it's the one I started for your KAL way back last year. I'm shamefully slow but I'll get there.
Hey girls. Jodi that story at the beginning almost made me pee my pants laughing. Jodi awesome job on your socks and Tacie beautiful shawls. Like always love your show. You guys have totally inspired me to start a Pod Cast. The first one is going to be tomorrow. Wish me luck.
Yes! I grew up in Phx and those little yellow flowers are terrible! I have flu-like symptoms every March! I'm so glad I'm not the only one. (My husband thinks I'm just looking for a little rest and relaxation by the pool when we visit and so can't function in AZ.)
I am crying with laughter right now....the poop story reminds me of something I would do.......so funny!!! I know you recorded this a while ago...I am moving backwards through your podcasts......I love you guys.
Lovely episode, as always. Jodi, you mentioned the year of ornaments...I'm going to use my first 24 ornaments (all mini stockings) for an Advent calendar for my son that is going away to university in the fall. I'm going to mail it to him in November and each one will have a treat or gift inside. after those are done, I will work on ornaments for the little ones that I usually gift one to (tied on their packages) and finish up with maybe some tiny mittens .
I have made 6 of those Erica cowels!! It's so fun and so quick and everyone loves it!! I'm not a fast knitter but could get one done in about 2 evenings!
hi to both of you from Australia : ) Only new to podcasts I have enjoyed but have not finished going back to the beginning to watch your podcasts. I hit play and sit at my sewing machine and enjoy . You make me laugh a lot with your stories (today's was fantastic) definitely Aussie humor : ) but something that almost every time makes me giggle to myself , is if I'm not prepared , the fright i get with the way it sounds when you cross to sock talk : ) Great podcast thanks for your inspirations. laura (sitbythefireplace)
Such a great podcast, so what else is new 😉 anyway... I'm so easily swayed by all the wonderful Indy dyers out there but I thought I would try to keep it local... at least to my country. So here's a little dyer I've recently ordered from: Crooked Kitchen Yarn.
DFW Fiber Fest is April 7-9, 2017 they have a Ravelry group for more details and vendor list. I love toe up TAAT socks! Always do mine on 32in. needle!
Whoot Whoot missed you guys. So I have never knitted with a speckle yarn before WHAT!!!!. i am so inspired by your shawl I want to knit on to join in kal end of april yeah i have time to join in. So stoked cant wait to start have to finish my clockwork shawl by Stephen west in sweet Georgia. Time for tea and chocolate talk soon c.
I would use the big tote for sweater quantity projects (I knit in public. I will knit in the library, on the line at Chipotle, I knit in meetings, etc.) or when I'm going to go crazy in my LYS (I must have all the yarns). The smaller bag I will use when I'm going to my LYS for one thing (I never get just the one thing I go in for) and therefore I won't leave with everything...just what will fit in the bag. Okay, now I must see about this pre-order
I've just bought a complete set of the hiya hiya sharp interchangables, which I love but I've poked a hole in my index finger because I knit so much, ouch. I think I'll have to learn a new technique
I know that I'm advancing as a knitter when I can spot what that stitch on the Chamomile hat is, I've done it on a hat for myself that I "designed" out of a stitch dictionary - it really is fun
Oh my goodness! That golden Pineapple yarn would look amazing if you did a green cuff and then a textured sock maybe something like the blue berry waffle socks.
Ok, I’m a few years behind but LOVE your podcast! Jodi, your traditional Christmas socks remind me of Strawberry Shortcake (I’m showing my age range, aren’t I?) you ladies are hilarious, keep it real!
Jodi, I did a US 3 needle and 56 stitches for my Nomadic Sport weight socks and they are perfect! I wear a US women's size 7.5 for reference. They fit super well in my clogs, so not too bulky. I used the blueberry waffle stitch, so maybe that makes them stretchier?
do you count your rows in socks and knit a tube sock with waste yarn for heel later or do you cut the yarn? Im always nervous about peasant heel because I dont count rows and I cant try it on,lol
I am so happy i got your update and i order two sock sacks and that adorable tote the large one i am so in luv it will be my everyday bag omg i cant wait i will speak about your bags on my podcast i am fairly new and would luv for you luvly ladies to give it a go and enjoy the amaizing adventure of my craftiworld
Hey Ladies, whatever did come of the 10,000 subscriber tattoo? I'm curious about what ideas you came up with. There are some cute knitting related ones that are very dainty online. Love your podcast! So happy for you guys with your new Craftsy show, you totally deserve it!
