So lucky! I hope one day to go to Canada. I live in Mexico and while we have a lot of vegan restaurants here now, there isn't an all vegan grocery store. I go to California to buy my vegan goodies. :)
I love Mexico! Just got back from Puerto Vallarta a couple weeks ago 😀 I love hearing that there's lots of vegan restaurants near you! Hopefully more major cities will start having vegan grocery stores pop up!
How cool to have a dedicated vegan grocery store to shop at. We don't have a Trader Joe's or Whole foods in my town in Florida although a Sprouts opened recently that's only a couple of miles away. I hadn't tried soy curls until recently but I've known about them because they've been around for years. I made a cold "chicken" and rice salad with a mango chutney sauce. Kind of a game changer! I've made it with beans previously but I'm not a huge bean fan although I've been vegetarian for 11 years. Also recently tried TVP and Plant Boss (dry pea protein that gets rehydrated like soy curls and TVP). Another game changer. I've used Morningstar crumbles before but don't like the long ingredient list. I've never tried Impossible Burger and Beyond Burger and really don't plan to. Nisha from Rainbow Plant Life tried the plant-based Reeses and was not impressed. I haven't seen the Kit Kats yet but would be interested in hearing what you think.
Yes, would love to see more vegan grocery stores pop up everywhere! Aren't soy curls the BOMB?! I'll definitely be trying the KitKat soon -- might do a taste test RU-vid Short soon! Thanks so much for watching and commenting! 😊
That's fantastic Janelle having a vegan grocery store which means that you don't have to check the ingredients to make sure it is vegan. Yummy 😋 food and love 🥰 the video and love ❤️ Janelle & ♥️Brad.
Those look like some fun products! Fun to have a vegan grocery store! I absolutely love the teriaki Daring chicken. I have my freezer stocked with those
I’m so envious that you have the vegan supply store so close! I shop online once in awhile but their shipping costs are so high I can’t do it as often as I’d like . I gave a vita health store near me and they carry a lot of the vegan foods (not soy curls though - boo! ) I’m going up pick up the sushi next time I’m there !
I hear they are trying to figure out a way to lower shipping costs, so hopefully you'll be able to order from them in the future for less 😉 I know the sushi brand Konscious is a BC brand but hopefully they're available across Canada!
I've looked at ordering from Vegan Supply recently for Butler soy curls because they're so hard to find in NS and more expensive, but yeah, I can't afford their shipping fees. I really do hope they find a way to bring those costs down. I think they would make up for it in sales as Canada desperately needs a service like this! I noticed they don't seem to sell powdered peanut butter tho, hopefully they do soon.
Nice!!! I'm waiting for the day we have an all vegan grocery store. I got the idea from you to use soy curls in curry, and I recently used them in a stirfry. So delicious!
