You own your home the best thing you can do in my opinion is to plant a couple peach trees to start with as they produce the first year maybe only a few peaches but still..and mulberry if they grow in your zone that also produces the first year…Berry bushes are a must in my opinion..only need a few each of raspberry and blackberry’s and before you know it you will have 20 -50 plus of new offspring every year..A few strawberry plants will give you so many new plants you won’t know what to do with them all..as many raised beds as you can put in to grow veggies, herb garden, mint garden etc..Now is the time to plant anything you can to help feed your family.. A manicured lawn isn’t going to feed you..I’m hoping that all stares allow people to grow food as I know there is restrictions depending on where you live.

Oh yes! We have plans. We tried a garden and I guess the soil where we live is just not conducive for that. Plus we had a mole or groundhog or something come from underneath and steal all of Bayleigh’s okra. (She was SO MAD. Lol) so we will have to do raised beds. We will just have to do a little at a time, as raised beds can get expensive.
