A French grocery store through the eyes of an American. Every time I go to the grocery store in France, I always think how different but similar they are compared to America and Mexico, so I decided hey, make a video about that. So here it is. Don’t forget to subscribe!

Je ne sais pas dans quelle région française vous êtes maus la prochaine fois essayez du pineau. C'est un vin apéritif spécialité uniquement provenant du département (16) de la Charente. Moi je préfère le blanc mais il y a aussi rouge et rosé. En tout cas dans les Leclercs Aquitaine/sud ouest il y en a. Ne confondez pas PINEAU avec pinot !!!

I really liked this video (which I only just discovered). A small precision however, about the candies, they are not egg flavored candies, they just have (with the white and the yolk of the egg) the shape of an egg.

@@eljesse well it's because it's very sweet, almost liqueur like. Traditionally it's not a table wine but rather one that is served before dinner with foie gras, or after a meal, to balance some pungent cheese. But for the past decade or so it has become a binge drinking wine of choice for students, due to its sweetness and relatively low price :)

Rabbit, when prepared properly, is absolutely delicious. It’s also very eco-friendly and sustainable as far as meat goes. I highly recommend giving it a try!

Bread and cookies. Meat section. Don't think some of those things I would eat. Shouldn't the eggs be kept refrigerated? I like the Wurzburger Beer. Surprised they sell wine in the supermarkets there. Why do you get a lot of strange looks?

Agreed, and to my best knowledge American eggs are deep cleaned so much that after they require refrigeration or they spoil. Where’s in France they don’t go thru that process so no need to refrigerate! And as for to strange looks, I think it’s a mix of the way I dress (American) or the fact that the French hate video or pictures of them being taken, especially older folks haha

Bread and wine traditionally belong to French culture. Eggs naturally come with a protective membrane coating that preserves them; deep cleaning eggs removes this protection, this is why they need to be refrigerated in the U.S. In Europe we prefer keeping their original protection provided by Mother Nature.
