I’d love to see more of your GS400! I’m getting a GS430 soon and it’s thrilling to see someone who shares the same passion for them! Keep making great videos!
Owned my Gs350 since 2016 and The one thing it lacked was an updated carplay interface. I had bad luck with another brand on my 2016 tlx and didn’t really want to tear up the lex. You might have convinced me to give the Vline a shot. Love your videos man. I followed you because you had the older gs and it reminded me of my first Gs. Keep up the content. Even if you’re just driving around and feel like talking just do you Champ!
@@ConeheadKidd thanks man I’m still on the fence. How’s the sound? Does your music sound good? Any feedback in the speakers? I had navtool installed from their shop in New Jersey and it still sucked. Kinda ruined my experience with aftermarket CarPlay’s.
Looks nice man, Great job. I had a local shop do it for me, bc of my busy work schedule. You can also tuck the antenna wire behind the glove box. I did it in my Dodge Magnum and works just as well.
Thankful for the video. Didn't know any other manufacturers made android/carplay for the gs. Wish I would of known before I brought the beatsonicusa android device.
Definitely do more mods on the gsf, looking into one myself. Appreciate the videos! Any exhaust videos, interior bit installs and any other mods im definitely into
There's so many mixed reviews on vline. I thought about updating my gs350 then opted out only to consider doing my 04 LS430..........I will make a decision soon.
You'll probably see mixed reviews on everything. My wife's RX has the factory android auto and carplay. It even screws around sometimes. Just gotta try something and see if you like it. Vline just made the most sense to me..
Question: Our enform system has stopped working. The dealership says the unit needs to be replaced. It only shows the Lexus startup screen, then goes dark. I don't get the warning message, or anything after that. Would this work as a stand alone system, or does this only work as a piggy back to the Enform system?
I honestly don't know. This system does piggy back off of your existing unit so I'm inclined to believe it won't work. You should ask the dealership for specifics on what the problem is. Is there a specific module that has failed? Is it a wiring related issue? Or is the actual monitor glitching. What exactly are they gonna replace?
@AutoMatticMatt Yeah, I was afraid of that. According to the RO, it wasn't electrical, wire, nor fuse related. It says internal failure within the unit. The back up cam and all works, just the entire Enform system has crashed.
How do you switch back to the factory screen? I have the Hybrid GS (450h) and I need the factory screen from time to time to monitor the battery charge.
It's your car, but doesn't make alot of sense to compromise the electronic integrity of your car for a $700.00 system that could fry your ecu later on down the road. Been there and done that 2x! You been warned!
This seems HIGHLY unlikely. I've had this device in my IS for years and my ecu is marked safe. But if you have some solid insider knowledge or something none of us know please enlighten us!
@AutoMatticMatt Lexus is reliable for a reason and the tech is dated but the more stuff you add the higher the possibility that the things will go wrong. It's simple logic. But do you!
Vl2 is straight garbage 🗑️, I had so many issues with mine. Randomly restarting screen glitching shitty sound quality. I did the update nothing fixed it Reached out to the company they wouldn’t help. Yanked that bs off and got me a phone mount for navigation.
I hate to hear that bro. I promote their devices because I have had pretty good experiences with them. But I know everybody's experience is different. What kind of car did you have it in?
@@Smokesuminc Truth be told Lexus kinda screwed us with infotainment in these cars to begin with. It should have come with Android Auto and Carplay from the factory. I support any company that is willing to give us some type of aftermarket support. Hopefully you at least got your money back!
