I had a similar instance with my dad when I was little. I was going to sing for church ( I loved to sing) and when I got up there I burst into tears. He didn’t try to pressure me at all, and I didn’t do it. The next time I was ready to try he told me I could try with my eyes closed and that made all the difference, I sang and did fine. A good dad is a true treasure ❤️
That teaching moment right there will be one of the most important lessons that she can use the rest of her life. YOU DO NOT EVER HAVE TO DO THINGS THAT YOU DONT FEEL COMFORTABLE DOING. Reminds me of my then 30+ year-old self when I wrote a poem I intended on reading in honour of my sister and her husband, years back, on THEIR wedding day. I told her I was too nervous and handed her the poem (receiving a beautiful reaction) a few days beforehand, instead. Stage fright has no age limit! 😢

That dad is so sweet. Just wait in about 10-15 years when she's wearing a beautiful white dress, and she whispers, "I'm scared." In an instant, he will say, as all dads nervously giving their daughter away, says, "it's okay. But you will be okay."

This is why young girls need their fathers in their lives. Mine wasn't in my life till I was nine years old and if I would've learned something like this, I would have never wound up in a relationship that I did because it would have taught me to value men a little bit more.
