That neighborhood extends from 5th Ave to 9th Ave and 34th St up to 42nd St. I used to be a letter carrier there. Loved the neighborhood. Many designers have offices there too. Used to love when people would hand out sample sale flyers around the holidays.

Oh geez relax. I was raised in NY and even though at first it felt a little rude but it’s true, some areas just look seedy. That part of town isn’t Park Ave. Sometimes you will walk into a store or restaurant that looks not so great from the outside but it turns out to be a hidden gem. You’re judging them for judging the area

@Mary Smith Dresses and veils are made to order, designers make samples in a few sizes 4, 8, 12, etc, same goes for veils. Once you order it's made from scratch by hand, wherever the designer has their shop, not in China. They are doing things for hundreds, if not hundreds of thousands of weddings, and the time lag is because they may have to order the material plus you aren't the first person in line, they are making other people's dresses & veils, it's slow work especially with a lot of the delicate laces.
