This certainly reinforces that for most people, 22 is TOO young to be getting married if you don’t have the maturity to stick to the budget of the person who is buying the dress for you! 4,000 is still a very healthy budget for a dress - a lot of brides have much less than that to spend. When she kept manipulating and sulking her way to getting mom to agree to a higher budget, she proved not only how selfish she is but how immature and adolescent. And as the oldest sister with 2 more who will get married after her, if mom spends 9-10,000 on her dress, how much will the younger sisters get? You could definitely see their resentment - this isn’t the first time this sort of thing has happened.
