This is one of the best inspirational stories in my opinion. Life is like a roller coaster but yet he is so strong that he didn't lost hope and I'm so proud of you, because you did your best just to prove the doctors that they are absolutely wrong. You can do it, Chris. God is always going to be with you to guide and protect you no matter what. Stay being so positive and enjoy life to the fullest with your wife and children.

I can't type for all the tears in my eyes. God is so good... He knew that I needed to see your amazing story. I have Multiple Sclerosis and I have been battling this since I was 15 and now I'm 53. I'm losing my eyesight and now my legs feel like they weight a thousand pounds a piece. I have been struggling trying to find my purpose in life and just when I thought it was more of the same pain and suffering... your story was on People T.V.. You see I try to not burden my wonderful husband of 35 years about the mental stuff... You know what I mean... feeling useless...being a burden... angry at my mind and body for making the physical pain unmanageable. Then I saw you and your beautiful bride... I held on to your every word and Daddy God let me see and feel his amazing unconditional love that he has for me. I saw his love for you but more I saw and heard your unwavering love for him... that hit me like a brick. He has never once left me, I left him. WOW I got it. I have been truly blessed with so much and until the last couple of years I didn't feel so defeated by this horrible disease and now I see you and your amazing strength to never quit...never give up. That was me... I would always say... Never Quit... Never Give Up... Climb That Mountain !!! I lived by " This Too Shall Pass ".... I have a bracelet that says this too shall pass... I haven't put that bracelet on in years. Until now. Thank you for sharing God's beautiful gift of your life and your beautiful wife and most of all I have to tell you that I was a Detective Sergeant investigating Child Sexual Abuse many years ago and I had to take so many beautiful children from their abusive homes and place them in foster care. Thank you for being so open about foster care and for loving these beautiful children who need people like you to open their hearts and homes... You guys are amazing and I Thank God for putting your story right in front of me so I could feel his unconditional love again. Never Give Up Never Quit... Climb That Mountain.

"Will I be able to walk again"?, a question I asked the doctors too, over and over. Looking back at it now, I'm fortunate to be able to control my upper body. Imagine not only not being able to walk but also not being able to move a finger or shoulder. Be Fortunate for what you can still do with your disability. Still very inspirational!

doctors really need to take age will and determination into account when setting a person's life expectancy and life predictions of limited mobility at 17 after a car accident and stroke broken neck and back doctors told my mother to take me off life support saying keeping me on is a waste of his time the hospital resoursces and money that id never see walk or talk that if i came out of my coma id be dead in months well its 11 years later im walking talking and seeing better (no longer need glasses) ive been living on my own since 3 years post injury

What a power couple. I had a spinal fusion when I could not walk any longer from a boating accident. The fusion failed but I did go to college, graduated with honors and then I went to law school. This video touched my heart in more way then one. I absolutely love this story. I was a foster child as a baby and later adopted and could not love my family more then anything for all they did for me. It takes special people to do what you guys do for these children and you will forever impact their life in a way you may never understand. I also have a nephew who was paralyzed at the age of 15 diving into his families pond. I really wish he would have found a women like this to share his life with. Keep up the wonderful work Chris and Emily! You will forever change peoples lives in all you do.

I also broke my neck the doctors told me I wouldn’t walk or move my arms. I was like no I’m going to prove the doctors wrong . And I did either a lot a lot of physical and occupational therapy and thanking God everyday. I’m here at the age of 44 walking enjoying life to the fullest. I was 18 years old when I was in the accident . You’re an Inspiration to all of us. Thank yo for sharing your story.🙏🙏

Remarkable true story of courage, love, and strength. I immediately remembered my husband carrying his paralyzed grandfather up an entire set of stairs. His grandfather cried and begged him to never take him back to another hospital ever again.
