I've always planned to go with classic black tie, as I love the look. However, if I could afford it, going with a made-to-measure morning suit would be amazing. Can I ditch the hat, though?
Here in Central America, weddings are usually celebrated by the end of the afternoon/sunset. Since I usually wear sports coats and from time to time wear a Tuxedo for special evening ocassions, I was thinking about wearing White Tie to honor my wedding as an unique and special moment that may happen once in a lifetime. What are your opinions about wearing White Tie nowadays being a common civilian?
Thanks for your question. Yes there is absolutely no problem wearing White Tie for your wedding. As Chris mentioned in the video, your wedding day is supposed to be special, therefore going to White Tie is obvious choice to really elevate your outfit, particularly if you like to wear Tuxedo's for special occasions, it's the next step up!
I usually recommend starched turn-down collar with a coloured shirt for weddings. Stiff wing collars with cravats can look dashing if a little archaic.
@@chrismodoo6563 You, as a self-professed "gentleman of style" should teach your underling Austin, to go get a shave. Surely you have barbers in London ??
@@chrismodoo6563 You seem to love the word "archaic" in reference to elegance and sophistication. I submit to you that several of the the prominent haberdashers in London and elsewhere disagree with that term.
