I have two 14 year old wheaten terriers that I dog sit. I also bathe them occasionally so love seeing older dogs showcased to learn good techniques

What a sweet heart. She looks good and much more comfortable with the 'debris' from around her pads. I am only a home groomer but I feel more secure having the table against the wall too..

If you have time, I always ask these questions of owners of long lived miniature poodles: 1) Is your mini male or female?; 2) Is/was your dog neutered/spayed and if so, at what age: 3) What did you feed your dog?

Her head looks so much like my 14 year old boy and he whines just like that when he thinks it's dinnertime! I like the shorter ears when they get older. Makes them look like pups again. Nice groom and sweet girl.

When you blow dry the dogs use a Happy Hoodie on there head + ears . Thats what i put on my Standard Poodle . When i used my high volocity blow dryer on her.

Could you recommend a breed of dog with short hair that doesn't grow much or shed?

Some breeds of dogs with a smooth coat are the Boston Terrier, Boxer, Greyhound, Great Dane, Miniature Pincher, Weimaraner, Dalmatian, Dachshund, Smooth Fox Terriers and Doberman. Avoid the Pug, Labrador Retrieve, Beagle and Rottweiler as they shed like crazy and have more hair then the other breeds that I mention. Dalmatians can have a more of a double coat that sheds more then the others depending on the breeder so you may want to avoid them. Although they are smooth coats they can shed but its minimal compared to other breeds, you will find hairs here and there and they will need brushing once a week. Hope this helps
