Lol. My baby RUNS. He will go in his cage under a chair in corner of room. Thats the reason I am here. I do not want him to have a bad experience from me. The only thing he will not let me do.;while squirming all around, are his feet, paws, hocks, legs section. Not knowing the full history of my rescue baby, he gets away with uneven haircuts all the time. Hehehe

My shih-poo doesn’t like getting groomed but he doesn’t do terrible for me. But the nails are a different story 😂 He HATES getting his nails cut

Plastics are called a “ guard” metal are called “ blades” the guards give a less hard cut per hair . Produces a softer look

Thanks so much for your videos!♥️ I have a question, looking for a bit of advice in purchasing a clipper. For this dogs groom would you have used the Wahl Bravura or stick to the Wahl that you used here? Right now I am using an Oster 76 that I had from working as a Hair stylist, just using different blades for my dogs and comb attachments. Thanks

Hi, sorry for the delay. You could use either the wahl bravura or the wahl km10 however the km 10 is more heavy duty if you need it to go through mats or thick coats. If your dogs coat is well maintained you could use the wahl bravura

are the whiskers okay when you start trimming around the muzzle like that? i have a shih poo with the prettiest lashes and her whiskers are hard to tell apart from the hair around her nose and mouth

hi! im 16 and just got my first dog. his name is brownie and hes a shih-poo whos grey and three years old. it seems like his previous owners didnt take care of his hair very well and hes got dirt clumps, knots and lots of excess hair. we’re taking him to get groomed tomorrow, but dyou think you can give me a few quick tips on how to care for him properly? and also i noticed he shakes his head a lot dyou know why this is?

Right now I'm not an barber professionaly , But i have proper barber skills, because i did in past , so its easy for me to understand . i'm going to own a shihpoo puppy within month, from my friend , they have little newborn 4 boys and one baby girls . they are just two days old , and thier mother is feeding them , i will have one after 3 weeks to month 😁

Do you sedate them so they’ll stay to calm? Mine has a coronary if I even try to brush her hair.

No sedation is not used. This dog is used to being groomed since a puppy. I would never sedate a dog as only a vet can sedate an animal for grooming.

Hi why do you bath them first? I would of thought you bath them after my groomer does it and I have to rinse my dog after to get the hair off her x

If no pre-clipping is needed then they can be bathed first. Some matted dogs are bathed first so that the clippers go through clean hair instead of dirty hair. Bathing and then using the velocity dryer after can help lift up the mats so that they don't need to be shaved very close. Some dogs need to be pre-clipped and then are bathed after that and then clipped again. Dogs are always clipped and scissored after the bath and blow dry. Ask your groomer to blow off the clipping of hair after the groom. There is no need to rinse.

Just got another Shih tzu poodle, I call them Shih Tzoodles, she’s 10weeks and needs to be groomed (I just got her a couple days ago) at what age do they start going to the groomers? Also is there a way you can tell me where you are, I would trust you! What’s the name of your shop?🩷🩷🩷
