Our Shih poo Henry died 1 month before his 16th birthday. He was the best dog ever. So smart, cuddly and so rarely barked that when he did, we were always surprised. He never had any health issues until he got to be about 14. At that age he started losing his hearing and then his heart failed at almost 16. I have always wondered if Henry was a one in a billion perfect dog or if all shih poos are like him. We miss him so much. ❤

My sister had black white shits he was old blind deaf when my mom past my mom loved her to my sister put to sleep with my mom.ive had my shitz 16 yrs she sleeps right beside my husband as n I or our great Dane. My rso sweet togethers she watches over him wants in same room together

I know this was posted a while ago but I’m sorry for your loss😢 I just lost my Maltese a few days ago and she would’ve been 14 in October. She would bark at anyone too but was the sweetest dog. Dogs are so pure so it’s really sad to see them go😭

You are describing my little schtzpoo who lived 4 months shy of 17 years. My only dog I ever had, and I swear he was a gift from God in heaven. Such a blessing! Life's definitely better with a dog! 🙏❤️🇨🇦 (He died last November).

I really miss mine, most liked dog we ever had by everyone, he made ten but he developed a autoimmune disease at one so we were lucky to get to 10 when he ended up with congestive heart failure.

I've had my ShiPoo, Gus, for 3 years. Gus is 4 and I inherited him from my daughter to train him. I fell in love with him and told her she wasn't getting him back! He is the sweetest angel. Just about everything you say in the video is correct!

I have 3 shih poos, and they are amazing. A black one (9 yrs) a white one (5 yrs) and a brown one (7 weeks) these pups are amazing and i absolutely love them

I've had my Shipoo for 14 years now and we have hiked and walked almost everyday no problem. He also loved to go to dog park and play fetch nonstop!! He has cataracts now in both eyes 😥 I hate it cause he could still be playing fetch. Wish I could get his eyes fixed.

Very accurate , body weight and size will depend if then lean more on father poodle side(8 to 10 lb ) or mother shihtzu side (16-18lb) they dont run freely if you leave them in to open field as they try to stick besides you however he has very high physical stamina he can tirelessly run circles between two family members even if they are a football field apart

Our Shih Poo (we say Shoodle) is 7 years old and he is the best dog in the world!!! All the characteristics described in this video apply to him but he loves exercise, he will chase a ball for hours and go for 4 hour walks with us. He is one of the family and will do anything to please us!

I have a shih poo there amazing his names rosco and yes they do get hurt easily but also are very brave I was holding him and he jumped out of my arms he cried then just walked away I’ve been very carefully ever since then but yes there brave and very playful he always wants to play so I stop what I’m doing and play with him there a great bread and I couldn’t ask for a better bread

I tell everyone that my girl is a Shitzpoo and that is as close as I get to cussing. 😂 She is Fancy Dancer because she loved to hop and turn on her back legs when she was young. She is 11 now and has cataracts, hip dysplasia and has had several tumors removed this year. It breaks my heart. She is extremely loveable, barks at everything, completely loyal, loves to play with toys but rarely run, is almost always happy especially when with me. She’s all white and my baby.
