Let's groom Boomer the Shih Tzu! This Shih Tzu will be groomed very commercial in a teddy bear look which requires minimal maintenance, perfect for summer. First Boomer is washed with Hydra products, including the Senses Bliss collection. Then Boomer's coat is clipped all over with the Show Tech snap-on combs. This makes for easier and faster scissoring of the coat. Watch the grooming session to see the cute result!

Thank you Kitty. Thank you for showing such great respect to Boomer. Many of the groomers seem to abuse the pet in their haste to sell and show their products. It is difficult to watch and see the fear in the beloved helpless pets eyes. You do a wonderful job of explaining and giving a superior groom to your customers.

Boomer seem so accepting of all your work. My Shih Tzu mix particularly hates anything done around her head and face. She struggles strongly against it, even with our calmest approach. Same is true for cutting hair on top of the paws. What can be done to improve the situation?

There is no easy solution. it's all depending from dog to dog . sometimes they just don't like it . sometimes there is an infection on the ears, teeth, eyes, ... sometimes they are really scared , sometimes they are traumatized. so i really sorry for that , but i can't give you any easy solution :-( Kind regards,

Hi Kitty, I really like a lot of the tools you are using. Is there somewhere we can see exactly which brand and make of shears, grinder, etc? I have just ordered the swirl comb and love your curved chunker scissors but cannot seem to find a left-handed pair!!! Well all the tools we are using are from our own brands.Show Tech, ShowTech+, Yento, Groom-x & Tikima are our own brands. you can find them on www.transgroom.com the curved chuncker i am using in this video , is only for right handed groomers, no lefties in this one. Does boomer have a double coat? Is it ok to clip a double coat down?

Hello Vinoto, thank you for your message . Boomer doen't have a double coat . It's not ok to clip a double coat. but boomer is a dog from 'real life' , has been clipped down several times because of a lot of matts . So there was no other option that time. now we keep his coat shorter, but still nice . Sometimes to take the gravel and the shell and you make a pearl :-) Kind regards;

Rasstandaard moet een Shih-Tzu zijn lange vacht behouden, daar gaan we ook voor . is het echter niet mogelijk , dan opteren we om deze vacht te knippen , eventueel met behulp van opzetkammen . Wil je deze echter toch nog korter, kan je deze scheren ... vele mogelijkheden zijn mogelijk . Bonjour, merci pour la bonne question, si vous vous rasez à contre-courant vous avez toujours plus de résistance des poils et vous avez un meilleur résultat. parce que vous vous rasez à contre-courant, les poils pénètrent automatiquement dans la tête de rasage et ne peuvent pas rester à plat. Le rasage à contre-courant laisse toujours les poils un peu plus courts, donc si vous n'avez aucune expérience avec le contre-fil, commencez avec une tête de rasage plus longue. j'espère que cela a aidé cordialement Kitty

Poor thing . How LONG did he have to stand????? I don’t like the way she cut the ears and face Took away from the shitzhu cute round face. It looks more as a terrier cut for his face.
