I have an English cream golden retriever that looks exactly like the one in the video and no one has ever groomed him so well as you did. Love your video!! The way you trimmed the tail, the shoulders, paws...shows you have ALOT of experience. Wow! Great job & loads of info!!😍😘
I really enjoyed this video and found it very informative. I am just starting dog grooming at the ripe old age of 62. I have a goldie and will now feel more confident grooming her. Thank you
you probably dont give a damn but does anybody know a method to get back into an instagram account? I was stupid forgot my password. I would love any assistance you can give me.
Wow… you are such a pro… And I love how passionate you are about your job :-) you really love what you do, it comes across very well in the video. Thanks so much for all the great information.
This was so lovely and relaxing to watch. I usually struggle to get Golden's coat's flat instead of wavy, but I'm going to not be so afraid to use a stripping blade instead of my usual slicker brush! I can't wait to see the difference it makes!
Love your video. I am a former groomer who is planning on getting back into grooming as a second income. You remind me of my former teacher Irina Pinkusevich she's amazing. She teaches you how to groom properly and leaves you in awe with her work.
Hello Frenchie Girl , Irina is one of the most experienced and amazing groomers is the World . You are a lucky girl / groomer , To be taking class from her . Kind regards.
I wish you were in Canada!! There are so few groomers who know how to properly groom a Golden. They think they are so great with clippers and that you can't tell. Then I finally found a wonderful groomer who knew what she was doing but has now injured her back to the point where she cannot lift more than 30pds. I'm going to do this myself Your videos are very helpful. Wish me luck.
Thank you Luisa , if we can help you with something , don't hesitate to contact us . It's our passion to help you out . wishing all the pleasure and luck to groom you dog . Kind regards.

I am learning how to groom my golden. My question is how do you get the body short? My dog’s coat grows really long and it’s really thick. Is it all hand scissored? I think my groomer uses a clipper with a guard? When I do get him groomed his coat always looks so even. If you do use a clipper do you go with the coat or against the coat?
Hello Wendy, I am happy to help you further. We don't recommend to scissor the body. cause if you clip or scissor the body of a Golden, the chance that the coat get curly and ugly, is high. You can strip the coat on the body with the fingers, that no problem. From the moment you use clippers, you will get a different coat structure. . For the correct tools please take a look at our website : www.transgroom.com
Hello Miss Kitty. I am a professional dog groomer in the US. I own my own groom shop. I have been on .y own for 3 years. I am professionally trained. I have a retriever I do very similar to how you did Nora. I'm just curious roughly how much do groomers charge to groom the way you just did. I feel as if I'm under charging. I'm just trying to get a rough idea. Thank you for all of your amazing videos
Hello Hans, back in the 'old days' there was just stripping the side of the back legs. Nowadays we also scissor them. Just be careful that you don't scissor the undercoat . cause then is there a possibility that you create curls or weaves. However, you are not ruin the coat if you do that. Kind regards.
Hi some videos say it's OK to use a stripper on goldens and some say not to because it ruins the coat, I'm confused because my golden is now 7 month and malting alot more now is this normal for aged and time of year ?
Hi there! With some breeds we shave in between the individual pads to make the paws clean and easy to maintain. With other breeds, we leave the hair in between the pads so that the hair accentuates the shapes of the pads and every gap between the pads is "filled up" with hair so to speak. This is the case for goldens, shelties, show cockers, etc. I hope this makes it a little clearer. Kind regards
@@TransgroomTV So it's a breed standard thing. I thought it was to avoid orthopedic problems and such. Thanks for clearing that up. I have a golden that gets inflamed between the pads so I sometimes use clippers to get all the hair removed. I'll know to not do that in the future before shows though.
I enjoyed watching your video - Norre looks gorgeous. Also, for a Golden Retriever, dirty does mean happy - so you are correct with both terms at the beginning of the video. 😉
Hello Bridie, I'm using all Yento scissors in this video. This is our own brand. You can find it on our website. You can also click on the link in the description to find all products used in this video. Kind regards
As an English cream owner I do not agree with trying to make Nora and other creams fat coated as they are not a flat coated breed. English creams are much more wavy coated than American Goldens. I do agree in thinning their coats on their hind upper and back quarters. I do use clippers in between their toes but not btwn front of toes…that I do as you did with curved scissors. Plucking is a no no with a BIG NOOO in Canada as a smooth trim can be done with scissors with no pain or stress to the dog. Thank you for sharing but please don’t try to hide our curly beauties because you think they should be flat coated
Hello Deb , Thank you for your comment and Your honest opinion . We respect Everybody's way of grooming, point of view . this is how we learn from each other.
