Well that’s the thing Groot comes from a race I think they’re called Appalachians or something Fana Appalachian but they have very strong family ties and they’re almost magical when it comes to family so they can grow bigger and stronger depending on who is their family members and how strong they are and how close they are to them and also the longer they stay around their family members the more those people will start to understand his language purely magical there’s no real scientific way to explain how it works
