The bucolic town of Groton Massachusetts just 40 miles outside of Boston, home to a population of around 11,000. Named after Groton is Suffolk, England, the town was settled and incorporated in 1655. During King Philip's War, on March 13, 1676, Indians burned all buildings except for four Groton garrisons. What remains today is home to two prestigious prep schools, Groton School and Lawrence academy. It has also gained international notoriety from its public school music program, conducted by Timothy Savoy. The town of Groton continues to be a safe haven for calm country living, and we strive to keep it that way. Come visit this beautiful town for its scenery, hiking trails, fine dining at Gibbet Hill Grill or Filho's Cucina, or simply enjoy a quiet stay at the soon to be finished Groton Inn.
