Any way to fly other helicopters generation in other maps? For example AH64 in Sahara?

No, I think they're fixed to the appropriate part of history. Some of the choppers stretch across 3 eras so you can get more out of them. I think the AH64 is only 3 & 4.

Hey im new to this game and it seems the community is small. I need some help. Me and my buddy have gotten to rank 4 and were having problems spotting manpads. it seems the trails dont show up. Are we missing something?

Equip some flares on your choppers. You'll need to learn the timing about when to deploy them (a second or two after the alert starts). Manpads can be hard to spot sometimes so you're not necessarily doing something wrong. Also doorgunners are invaluable too.

@@ConstantWarfare thanks for the tips. Our trouble is that on some maps you can see the trails and on others you cant, im not sure why

@@GlazSh0tJFK If you are playing the Enhanced edition, don't. It's quite buggy and potentially has graphical issues. The original version is just as good, if not better. Just not quite as nice looking.
