There were a few serious install issues on this job created by the original installers that would make a super low flow temp a bad thing. They fitted a GSHP with a fixed speed compressor just to ‘get the job done’ (grant money banked) when they should have fitted an inverter driven unit as specified. This may sound daft but what maintenance do you have to do to underfloor heating over time , as like above ground it mucks up , but does it also break down releasing magnate? So shouldn’t we be fitting filters as well on the underfloor manafold?
Visual inspection I guess as part of the annual check up. Water quality is something you need to manage properly with heatpumps. Check conductivity and ph to prevent any issues like that occurring. Maybe even go as far as plate separating a dirty system from the gshp (we might have to do that on this job as the renewables company has made a right mess of the install).
@@chavaleah812 since posting, I have found out that due to the lack of information, yes magnate can build up in metal based plex , that can weaken underfloor pipe walls, leading to substrate leaks. The water does degrade so should f fit a filter leading to the boiler regardless, further more would recommend a air filter and flush point with independent isolation from rest of heating loop, this allows for 18 month flush intervals assisting flushing , my findings the underfloor loop seem significant worse than copper, looking very dark even after such a short time I think it’s because of the 35c temp not clearing bacteria growth, you must also reinstall inhibiting in to the fresh fill and would recommend a flush not chemical treatment every 24 months-36months to keep in check
