my natural reaction to the height that you had on the ground spiral entry was that it was too low , especially on the hill side with wind drifting you into the terrain... I would have bounced for sure
I did it too high the first times and then proceeded to get closer to the ground to get the intuition how much height is needed. And for safety just trained over snowy slopes.
