Completely agree, it's insane. And even though it really is dense, the distance between objects remains incomprehensibly vast. Exciting times in astronomy, the discoveries just keep coming in!
You live the entire early years of your life locked away in a basement with no contact with anything or anyone. You might hear an occasional noise, and the food appearing at the slit in the doorway you attribute to the basement, not to anything or anyone outside the basement. Then, one day the door opens and you step out into the daylight. Perhaps we are now stepping out into the daylight. I have always thought that we are just part of a larger (perhaps infinite) universe, and "big bangs" are always happening in various sizes, throughout the overall universe as a way of recycling matter/energy or rebalancing localized pressures, for lack of a better word.
@@zman28159 My intent was not to cover anyone's butt. My intent was to bend over and show my ass to the astrophysical elites who keep trying to justify their current "understanding" of the universe. Like inventing "dark matter" as a way of balancing a galactic equation that won't balance otherwise, when the equation itself, or other input variables in the equation might be suspect.
Unknown person made a time machine in the original universe where time didn’t exist. That person wanted to go back in the past not realizing that the past ALSO didn’t exist. So the person tried to time travel but ended up going back to before the beginning of existence (nonexistence) When that person realized what happened, it was too late because TIME came into existence and caused Big bang to happen while also REPLACING the original God on accident.
I wish people would stop exclaiming " we were wrong" - it's called science - old assumptions are put aside as new take their place - all this writing of hands- just click bait...
This is already known …. The galaxies follow a pattern of energy in the universe , like a nerve cells in a brain … it seems our universe is a brain of a young person and it is increasing until a determined size … it seems the humanity don’t understand this pattern …. The Big Bang never existed , this was the most stupid bullshit interpretation of stupid científicas
Honestly, the field of quantum mechanics is just as strange and bizarre as what scientists are witnessing with the JWST and other groundbreaking cosmological research discussed here. It's difficult to conceptualize such things... but there it is :)

Tout cela est étonnant voire merveilleux. Le plus fantastique dans tout cela est que l'intelligence humaine soit capable de comprendre ce genre de choses alors que notre espèce ne durera qu'un laps de temps insignifiant au regard de l'univers.
Imagine if we took all the money we spend on destroying each other and used it for space exploration. We could have a "Starship Enterprise". It's really sad. Love from Gaffney S.C. U.S.A... Stay safe.
Our local group of galaxies are just a spec inside a gigantic structure that looks like a galaxy. It's just like our solar system is moving around the milky way galaxy. Our galaxy is rotating around the universe galaxy that for some reason nobody I've heard theorize yet. This theory to me sounds better than any other theory I've heard.
In any discussion of Unified Theories, Gravity, Electromagnetism, and the Strong & Weak Nuclear Forces are taken as the four fundamental forces of nature; the first two are part of our everyday, macroscopic experiences. It's curious that Electromagnetism has been uniquely excluded from Cosmology. It makes sense to use *all* of the tools in the toolbox. "Magnetohydrodynamics & Plasma Physics" is discussed in Chapter 10 of Jackson's "Classical Electrodynamics" (2nd edition). Revisiting the concepts in "Cosmical Electrodynamics" by Alfvén & Fälthammar, and "Physics of the Plasma Universe" by Peratt deserves attention, especially in light of contemporary observations from JWST and other observatories.
It's only gravity that is part of our macroscopic experience. The other 3 forces, electromagnetism, the strong and weak forces, are all part of quantum mechanics which is the microscope realm and excluded from cosmology and/or general relativity.
@@douglasstrother6584 An exchange of photons between electrons forming the basis for the whole of chemistry (if it's the electrons on the outer shell of an atom). It's a microscopic phenomenon. Only gravity/general relativity operates at the large scale structure of the universe.
The video suggests that the discovery of the Shapley supercluster might challenge the Lambda-CDM model. But is this model already too outdated and in need of complete replacement? Some scientists argue that this model is no longer sufficient to explain the complexity of the universe and phenomena like dark energy.
Dark matter is indeed one of the most mind-boggling and mysterious aspects of our universe. Though we can’t see it directly, scientists believe it makes up about 27% of the universe, while ordinary matter (everything we can see and touch) makes up only about 5%. The rest is thought to be dark energy, which is responsible for the universe's accelerating expansion. Dark matter doesn't emit, absorb, or reflect light, so it's invisible and detectable only through its gravitational effects. It’s thought to control the structure of galaxies and galaxy clusters, holding them together despite the forces that would otherwise tear them apart. Without dark matter, galaxies like the Milky Way would not have enough visible mass to prevent their stars from flying off into space due to their rotational speeds. The larger structure of the universe-the cosmic web-is made up of galaxies and clusters of galaxies connected by vast filaments of dark matter. These filaments provide the gravitational framework that shapes the visible universe. What is really fascinating is the connection between dark matter and the expansion of the universe. While dark matter itself is responsible for holding galaxies together, dark energy (a different force) is believed to be driving the accelerated expansion of the universe, stretching the space between galaxy clusters. Scientists are working hard to understand dark matter, but it remains elusive. They're conducting experiments using large particle detectors and observing the universe to try to detect it directly, but so far, its nature remains one of the greatest unsolved mysteries in cosmology. The fact that dark matter influences the size and structure of galaxies is truly mind-blowing and highlights how much of the universe is still beyond our full understanding.
Quite likely, and if so, maybe it can counteract the cosmic expansion and 1) keep the universe more or less static for quadrillions of years, or 2) actually reverse the expansion process.
I remember reading Alan Dressler "Voyage to the Great Attractor." Great book - scientists don't write great books like that much anymore. It's kind of socially unacceptable now. They brand you a Carl Sagan or something. Anyways, then came Laniakea - now, looks like we're going beyond that . . . to a point that maybe challenges the Big Bang theory(I don't think so; but, I can see how it can push things to a few more decimal points)
The cosmos surprises us again and again with ever greater dimensions and structures. The whole thing is so gigantic that we humans seem like tiny mayflies. We are sent on a journey that is interrupted now and then, but never stops... 😶🌫
500,000 years ago they came to teach Neanderthal man herding and husbandry. And all went well for about 300,000 years (cro magnon man) until Lucifer -- sovereign of over 600 evolutionary worlds -- declared Liberty from the rule of a non-existent grandfather god, and ordered the Planetary Princes, like the one who still remains on Earth, to do as they Willed. Fast forward. Lucifer and Satan were detained in 30 AD, just after Pentecost, and were judged by the Ancients of Days, far from Earth, in 1985. The devil and dragon (Revelation 12: 12-13) remain on Earth, and their judgement has been set for 10/10/26. They intend to absolve themselves of blame, by proving Mankind unfit for God's kingdom with a worldwide nuclear war: God vs God vs not God vs no God in the Name of Jesus. "After all," the devil argues, "Jesus, Himself, tried to teach these beasts to love one another, 1,994 years ago -- almost two full days in Heaven. Surely, the Ancient of Days will judge Man at fault. Or Jesus. Not Me." 2 Peter 3: 8 Matthew 5: 44-48. The devil is delusional -- Daniel 7: 9-14 -- but OVER 93% of men and women are nearly deaf and blind spiritually. They "see" and "hear" nothing -- except perhaps, once or twice in a lifetime, while asleep. We call that, Normal. Are you any different? It has always been like this. As in the days of Jonah: "Yet forty days and Nine of You shall be overthrown."
Duh! Almost all of the inhabited worlds of space are evolutionary. Evolution is one of God's creative techniques. Some of those planets know the Son of God, and know of our planet, where the spiritually deaf and blind -- the highest spiritual authorities in the land -- crucified the Son of God . . . the Planet of the Cross. Others followed Lucifer into rebellion and are more like us -- warring constantly, Brother vs Brother. There is a good reason that the stars are so far apart.

Not organisms but having, to some level a little of the spirit of the Supream being. I say this as all energy and matter of the Universe functions in time and space. This means it is all temporal. All that is temporal is here to day and gone tomorrow. Where as the spirit of the Supream being is forever, that is without reference to time and space.
My thought exactly.. We are basically the subatomic particles in something truly colossal. Solar systems are the super atoms, clustered together in molecules, forming a galaxy, which is the super compound or something, in turn forming larger structures, the workings of something larger..
I like that, it is an image of "God", or A god, that solves many problems related to traditional religion, the problem om evil and suffering, for example.
Trying to understand just how big the universe is, is like trying to imagine how big a number like a googleplex is. It's a 1, followed by a google number of zeroes. A google-plex-plex is a 1, followed by a googleplex number of zeroes. They're both unimaginably, incredibly, enormously large. That's about how big the observable universe is, and it's probably an understatement. And a google, followed by a google number of plexes, is still smaller than infinity.
Our Galaxy is a Part of a Larger Structure: the whole Universe I think! Or could Galaxies like our Milky Way to be connected with something BIG that we don't know WOW!? 😮
Does anyone one know if they described type of flow in this superstructure? Does it flow like liquid, gas or something else? I think this also should be important data to know.
8:46 What I am curious about is the use of gravity pulling and a comparison of water flowing in a description while knowing the universe is expanding. Like no two objects can occupy the same space, such as an object in water, no two differently defined words can explain one observation, let alone a concept not fully understood nor having an obvious cause such as gravity. Which is it? Galaxies flow or galaxies are pulled? Flow is to me the movement or apparent movement of something such as a river. A pull of an object does not constitute an objects movement or apparent movement I do not think unless things have changed in 25 years. I'd say with expansion we are along for the ride since galaxies are going away faster than speed of light according to some theories. If these grav waves are true then it sounds more of a push. If like water flowing then space has direction on a scale we don't understand from our aspect or variant of a cosm. This does not make sense with galaxy collisions unless it is the intent of a galaxy to swim against a current, holding position, but without immediate background how does one observe an object going against a current to even hold position or gain "ground"? Sorry buddy but choice of wording is more confusing than the battered running back to the batterer for another round. I can go on about gravity, but my point is not debunking this concept. Only a clarification on what you're explaining. 8:46 you say gravity directs. That goes against my understanding taught to me that grav pulls. Directing implies guiding. Gravitational landscape as you so eloquently put it insinuates a structure where, like earth, presumably physics takes place. This will have to function for the whole of this even bigger structure unless a pump of some kind aids in the flow of galaxies. So once again I ask please clarify for me specifics of what you explain so I may understand more clearly. I am and always have been one that is oblivious to the obvious as well as literal as well as derive meanings from how words or concepts are used when I did not understand definitions.
@mattpike7268 gravity is defined as the pull of an object of much less mass by another object of greater mass from what I remember. Plus, the basins dude mentions or whatever would be the guide. Not gravity. Celestial objects do not reach out with an arm to pull. I believe gravity is a misobservation without the source cause. I am along the lines and have been for a while about the electromagnetic field, or in electric universe theory, the magnetoelectric field. Magnetism is the only power I know of that can push and pull. What is pushing the atmosphere down toward earth to maintain the position? If gravity were "force" applied, then why does the atmosphere maintain its position and same constant depth from surface to space rather than be squished or compacted by a fluctuating force or force of effect? Observation says more a containment than anything. The electromagnetic field is that containment. Or protective house against solar winds like a monolithic dome home protects against up to f5 tornado winds. Gravity is just as weak in theory as it is as a misobserved effect.
Out of 1 million videos on space, i wish just one would just say " the universe cosmic web extends to infinity, and has always been in existance. No "big bang", no beginning, no end. No human alive can say the universe began with a magical god, or expanded from a micron. 😢 so, our tiny region of infinity is expanding! Other regions the opposite forever, over and over and over.
I just wish you could answer anything. All the money needs to be spent on something that could actually help our planet. But keep the funding coming so you can have more no answers. But the pictures are fun to watch.
There is no dark matter or dark energy, just a few words to fill the space 🌌 that is a lack of understanding by those pursuing what they have no need to.
As was said, space is incredibly big totally unbelievabley big in fact mind bogglingly humugusly so big it's impossible to imagine with our insignificant small brains 🧐
Another grundbreaking idea replacing the last fundamental change, but not a bit a big deal. Just no reason to act just a little bit less cocky. In my realm a "groundbreaking" change can put me into an extended phase of deep depression. But Your phase of disturbance is gone long before the end of the shorttime memory after 17 seconds to just to have the necessary impact to reach any longterm effect. What is the goal of teaching overwhelingĺy wrong to be remembered?
Organism is the wrong word. But the concept is sound. Almost all of the inhabited worlds of space are evolutionary. Evolution is one of God's creative techniques. Regardless whether it is dark matter or ordinary matter, this is a finding against the “cosmological principle” -the assumption that the universe is isotropic in large scales. “Cosmological principle” is the foundational assumption for the existence of dark matter. I don’t understand the logic followed in this video.
It would be best to take this presentation with a grain of salt since it is based on unproven theories (such as "dark matter"). Moreover, as a result of alternate theories, there are a multitude of contradictions which would indicate how little we actually understand concerning our universe.
before this, if they said the universe was millions of years old then it was actually billions of years old, if they said the universe was billions of years old then it was actually trillions of years old. so which one is it? i forgot and this info aint free dawg
This is not new, read about this two years ago,it means birkland currents are billions and trillions more powerful than gravity. Currently, pardon the pun, electricity is 39 billion to the power of ten stronger than gravity, now if you scale that up to super clusters, were talking trillions more powerful.
