I appreciate that mate. I deeply enjoy making content like this. My main dilemma atm is thinking of other things I can cover at this lvl. Still have some build vids in mind, but not sure what else to do until we start getting more content.
@@That1Guy4Never ye i feel you i wanna keep playing and exploring in this game so bad but ive 100% everything but gold cards and it seems like such a grind im not sure i wanna do that xD so ye heres hoping for more content soon!
The work you put in and quality of this video is awesome lol. Your movie narration voice definitely sets the mood for making these builds seem even better. Keep up that grind man. You have good entertainment value
New here, but love the way you broke down everything and the awesome verbiage used to colorfully put us in the warrior mindset! I will try out these combos of gear, weapons & perks rain destruction on all bugs in the yard!! Thanks for the video of knowledge !!
“The Beast Tryant” or also known as a summoner build has been buffed now by swapping out your helmet with the new bards tutor upgraded sleek and the chest and greaves replaced by wasp chest and greaves both upgraded sleek, your bow now also is the new tier 3 queen wasp bow and your trinket is found in the compost bin that summons black widowlings, and the mutations being Mantserious Stranger to summon the mant, Sharpshooter to make your bow deal more damage, mom genes to summon spiderlings, bardic inspiration because it buffs your bow, and apex predator because it gives you a 25% chance to summon a friendly wasp when an enemy has been shot
Have you tried the Broodmother Trinket since 1.2.2? My thinking is the BM trinket instead of the WW trinket. Patch said, not only does BM trinket now have a guaranteed chance to poison with all summons, but that poison is stronger than normal. Let me know if you test it.
Love the videos you do, would love to see you take on the new builds with the updates of the game. With bow builds adding crow arrows you can add/stack more bleed damage. And the use of gas arrows adds more AOE damage to every bug but stink bugs and infected.
Thank you so much! I'm glad the video helped you out. If you ever need any help, don't be a stranger - leave me a comment, and I'll be happy to answer.
Omg, you earned my subscribe! Great content! I’m kinda all over the place and didn’t know the game was this deep. No idea what kinda player I wanna be. Such question tho: I never see other players in multiplayer is there no open communal lobbies. Only freinds in multiplayer?
Thats the case. There's no servers or matchmaking. You can hook up with your friends, or some people go on social media, reddit etc to recruit teammates. Appreciate the sub! If you ever need any help, don't be afraid to hit me up.
I watched the first 30 seconds of your six combat build video and subbed. Amazing content! Awesome editing and great job breaking it down. Thanks for putting in the time with these vids!
Wow the kiss is death looks really interesting I’ll try it when I craft the black ox crossbow and kill a moth Edit: I finally got it thanks for the build it performs really good but I think I might switch to gun slinger to minimize wastage of arrows
Will you add more builds in 1.2? they added a lot of things that are good for ranged players! I hope you do because your melee and ranged combat guides are some of the best grounded videos I saw. And another little question: isn't the ox wizard build considered as a ranged build?
For now, I won't be making more grounded videos. I'm switching to covering Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. I do have more builds planned. It's just gonna be awhile before I circle back to make content for grounded. To answer your question about Ox armor, it's not a ranged build. It functions very well with staves, clubs and spear weapons that you plan to charge the heavy attack. It's probably my favorite armor att.
If you block with crossbows after shooting, it automatically reloads. So basically you have an assault rifle and can do up to 4 times the dps of a normal crossbow.
If you shoot before the debuff is over after shooting, your shot does -80% damage and uses 30% more stamina. So you are not doing more damage by spamming it.
That really made my day, Spence. Thank you for the kind words. I sure do have some good base spots. What kinda features are you looking for regarding a spot? (Ie. centrally located, raid safe, early game, end game spot, easy xyz resource access)
1) high up on the oak tree. It takes time and resources, but once you are setup there, it's by far the best zip line hub as you can start there even early game. 2) On the rock wall of the Upper Yard Ascent (just above the Frankenline). Easy to get to even early on with some building. Very safe, and your zip tower doesn't need to be too too tall. 3) Wendell's table next to his chair on the shed porch. You can build on most of it. Again, gonna take a little work to get started. But build out of mushroom bricks or cement and it goes faster than you'd think. Build a small pad for ziplines on top of the back of his chair - Its so high you can easily zip to just about anywhere.
You don't need the reload speed perks, Actually you can instantly reload ur crossbow by clicking on the parry botton after every shot, Your crossbow will turn into a machine gun
I appreciate the comment! But, I'm always blown away by how many people get this wrong. Crossbows have the perk Rough Reload (more of a debuff) that causes arrows shot faster than they are intended, as in animation canceling, it, causes the next arrow to do a whopping -80% dmg and cost 30% more stamina. You're handicapping yourself, friend.
On top of there being new gear, alot of stuff has been rebalanced. I'm actively (re)testing everything. Gonna take me some time, but I'll have some new stuff out. Even though most of my builds will need reevaluated, they should all still be a good starting point for dealing with the new content. Modify as necessary. Hope to have a better answer for you soon.
My Ox Wizard build for sure. The staves are by far the strongest thing here. Charged Spicy shot to get aggro, while dealing a massive dmg as an opening hit. Swap to sour staff and use charged shots. The sour shots stun and juggle them around, which stops them from barraging you with attacks and debuffs. Sour staff was buffed as well, so it hits HARD now. Other good options are the Black Ox Crossbow with Salt Arrows and Pollen Arrows (start with pollen til you get a stun then swap to salt to finish them). And, A Salt Morning Star with a good shield (use Barbarian for more dmg). As a general tactic, pull only one regular wasp at a time. Save the Drone for last - he's the hardest of the group to deal with, plus he heals the group. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Haven't developed one just yet. Waiting for the dust to settle on this on as the devs are likely to re-rebalance everything when it goes official. Tentatively, the new gear is gonna make my Beast Tyrant build an absolute monster. Using the new bard hat, bard bow, wittle widowling charm, and the mutations: moms Genes, mantsterious, and bardic inspiration. That'll give you 4 summonable creatures. It's gonna be nuts if they don't nerf it.
I am a late starter into Grounded but that hasn't taken away from the amount of love I have for this game I've racked up 760 in game days in 4 months I truly love that beautiful backyard
That's impressive! Is that across multiple playthroughs, or is it building that has occupied so much of your time? I fell in love with this game back in 2020 and have been following it ever since. Obsidian really knows how to make fun games! I think it's impressive how much content they've dropped since then, and just how much more they've promised to release. It's very exciting.
@@That1Guy4Never sorry just seeing this but no this was my very first playthrough so it's got alot of meaning. Around day 700 my editor and stream Mod she finally decided to give it a try and she's amazing she has 2900 hours in Ark so she has Quickly turned my world into something gorgeous 😍 For almost the whole game I only had a small little base that my day 1 friend helped built but then they got burnt out and I ended up doing the story mode about 50% by myself. I love to grind tho so I had more than enough materials and bug guts for multiple people to be fully looted so it was just about making the world feel more comfy and now my world is gorgeous with the help of some friends and it's something I truly am proud of and look forward to logging into each day
Yes. Thanks to data-miners we now know that they stealth-nerfed poison (again). Poison has been so nerfed that The Kiss of Death Build isn't very viable anymore. Some other minor things. But not worth mentioning.
What difficulty are these done on? Im doing the Kiss of Death built and its going well, but i feel a little weak against some enemies (I play on Medium!)
I just learned from data-miners, that the poison from the Mask of the Mother Demon, Venom Arrows and The Broodmother Trinket were stealth patched. Their dmg was reduced by a gut-wrenching 70%. So, it's no wonder this build is dealing significantly less dmg.
Can't help with a phobia. But there is an easy one you can safely snipe under the shed porch. Stand on the fertilizer bag and he goes down without any fuss.
I think having to do that much prep for regular mobs makes a build unviable. A good build shouldn't need you to run around with a ton of mats to protect yourself or take enemies down. You are just shoring up weaknesses. There is some good info here, just not for average game play. I'm mainly talking about your number one.
Highly disagree. But that's the beautiful thing, we can all have our own opinions. The #1 is #1 because of how versatile it is, and how it CAN (doesn't HAVE to) take advantage of every system in the game to maximize its effectiveness. It's a build for a certain type of player - one who likes creative and interesting solutions to combat. If you prefer straightforward meathead style combat, I certainly do at times, you'd do much better with a melee build like Venom Berserker or something simple like the Gunslinger.
I know I wont be playing this game for long, but I'll subscribe your channel. Only 1% sub, man its heart breaking 😢. Inshah allah one day you will get lots of subscribers.
Are you sure? I ask because there's no mention of any straight nerf to crossbows, or any bow for that matter. What was added is a welcome new mechanic called "rough reload." This perk allows you to block while reloading (for crossbows). However, if you shoot faster than the normal reload time, your shot is significantly reduced in dmg. This is to punish players trying to exploit block canceling to shoot faster.
@@That1Guy4Never do you think black ox is still the best dps with the new queen bow I also use apex club which would spawn wasps for some bonus damage but I’m not 100% sure
For bows, its all preference. Personally, i think the new bow is S-tier when combined with my Beast Tyrant build (add Widdle Widowling, Bardic Tudor, and Bardic Inspiration). If you're asking just any weapon, melee weapons outclass bows in raw dmg by a mile (bows are just more convenient and safer). While I still love clubs, they are much more unwieldy since the update, and the Club of the Mother Demon was hugely nerfed (Venom tick reduction, and Stam cost)...I'd have to lean more towards things like: Salt Morning Star, Toenail Scimitar, Sour Battle Ax, and especially the Staves. All the magic staves are A-to-S-Tier in my book.
One of my favorites currectly is usuing the bards hat and bow with moth armor. Summoning spiders wasps and the mant along with the bleed and posion venom DOTS from wasps and spiders not counting burn if youre using those arrows, plus the chance to buff yourself and summons and debuff foes and have a chance to heal yourself and allies and hurt foes in vicinity makes it a very safe but quicky overwhelomg bow build and amazing in co-op games. Support saboteur summon build all in 1. And its dps isnt too shabby being right below the ox bow in damage but shoots way faster. Less effective on boss fights because reduction and posion immunity but still pretty solid even in boss fights
This guy is absolutely awesome, I've never seen another grounded youtuber put so much effort into vids, maybe make a vid bout AOE damage, I have a hard time with fire ants on the mixrs
I'd love to know a good bow build but I'm new at the game and you started the video with the extremely late game items. I guess your vids aren't for new players.
Happy to help. This is a top 5 bow build video, The best of the best... so of course it's all late game stuff. Early on, get a crow crossbow (skip insect bow) and marksman cap for dmg buff. Try to farm out more feathers for feather arrows. Once you have access to Termite Axe, start farming splinters for splinter arrows. Mutations are gonna be the same as in this video. Prioritize Sharpshooter, Coup de Grasse (ru-vid.com_Oxau89C4YA?feature=share), and Cardio Fan early on.
If the bards bow and ox bow are similar in terms of damage, wouldnt the ox bow be the best bow because you can recovery cancel on crossbows? I can literally shoot out like 10 arrows in a row before i run out of stamina lol
Actually salt is extremely strong right now. Most of the toughest end-game bugs are weak to it: Black Ox Beetles, Mantis, Wasp Queen, Wasps & Drones, Roly Poly.
I could see it being the Air element (we have fire, ice, and electric so far). Like it shoots out a tornado from the staff. Charged shot shoots out a larger tornado that tracks the enemy.
