We grew up from been kids in the '70's.. First I remember was the stratos! Then the quattro but the one that sounded to me,like the heaven's been ripped from the sky was the delta S4...!! '85 lombard RAC. Henri drove gp B like it was his birthright!! No health and safety there. ! 👍👍👍
I believe it must've been incredible to witness these extreme machines, men and women who drove them first hand. Wish I had the opportunity to see them tear down rally stages back then. I'm quite a bit late it seems😁 Thanks for the comment. Cheers!
@@deltas4764 True it was an experience to see the Group B cars been driven competitively. A different experience on the night stages they went like this, you could hear them coming along the stage, then all in the same moment first you got blinded by all the spotlights next we were deafened by the exhaust noise and finally as the car passed it pelted us with rocks it's tyres had kicked up. Great stuff😃
2:57 are the fingers of someone who tried touching a Peugeot that was flying by. Apparently the team never looked at that mechanic the same after he just picked the fingers up and threw them out without hesitation lmao.
80's were the wildest era of rallying not only because of the total mad-lad (and mad-lady) drivers, and insane Group-B machines, but look at the wide list of various manufacturers: from Lada-VAZ to Porsche and Ferrari.
