step-by-step guide on creating and implementing Group Policy in Windows Server 2022 with a live example
Prerequisites:
A Windows Server 2022 machine functioning as a Domain Controller (DC) in an Active Directory domain.
Member computers joined to the Active Directory domain.
Steps
Launch Group Policy Management
Open Server Manager on your DC.
Click on Tools in the top right corner.
Select Group Policy Management.
Create a New Group Policy Object (GPO)
In the Group Policy Management window, navigate to the domain you want to manage Group Policy for (usually under Forests Your_Domain_Name).
Right-click on Group Policy Objects and select New.
Give your GPO a descriptive name
Click OK to create the GPO.
Link the GPO to an Organizational Unit (OU)
In the left pane, navigate to the OU where the computers you want to apply the policy to reside.
