Most of my rydes since I first started ryding a 2011 RTS in 5/2011 have been group rydes. The challenge is keeping up and maintaining a safe distance. When ryding with 2 wheelers, I am usually the tail gunner as the Spyder or regular trike is larger than a 2 wheeler. Noticed on your video that often times you were trailing by a several lengths the Spyder in front of you. Takes practice.

Great photography! We dove into group rydes right away to meet some of the local Spyder crowd. It's been a lot of fun... until the present mess upset the apple cart. You did have a large group and it can be difficult to keep the group together without an experienced leader and a well defined route map. I find two-wheelers to be the mavericks in the group, jumping the line and generally playing "scout" for the slow wagon train. Your group was a little large, but someone did a pretty good job of keeping you together. There's a small group planning to do Death Valley tomorrow, the weather is favorable, but it's Cali, and Lord knows what is going on there. I think we'll skip it this time. Love your vlogs, keep them up, I bask in the green..!

Morning to ya. The North Carolina ride was a very nice bright a peaceful event. It's sometimes good to go with a group. We're gonna get out and do some touring here before too long. The history of a place is quite interesting we enjoy that a lot. So until the next ride I'll keep watching. Later.

Super Video John and Miriam. It helped me overcome the loss of my trip I had to cancel because of Covid restrictions. My virtual ride along took me within a block of my house in Nags Head. Your cut of video at around 11:17 with just almost due east. Nice. I still look forward to the possibility of our Spyder rendezvous in late September. Hopefully??? Continue to enjoy the RIDE.

Hi again There is something synergistic about watching a swarm of Spyders on the world wide WEB. Very interesting, as usual, I enjoy the historical bits - I wonder if the Raleigh settlers were simply absorbed into the Indian tribe? Love your posts Cheers Iain

Just found the conversation. My parents are from NC and my dad grew up in an area called Union Chapel. There are blonde haired, blue eyed Native Americans in that area. My dad was one of them! 😊

Nice video and a fun looking ride. The scenery was great, and I was thinking about taking the kids to Kitty Hawk for a possible summer vacation. This definitely inspires to keep that location high on the list. Planning to get my Can Am in the spring, can't wait to get out and experience the road from that perspective! Thanks for sharing.

Great vid as always. Last week, like Miriam did awhile back, I took and PASSED the MSF Basic 3 Wheel Riders course! It was a great learning experience. I feel more confident on riding the Can-Am. Now, the BIG choice. In the Fall of 2021, I need to choose between the 2020 RT or a F3 Limited. ( A good used one of either make) or, maybe a brand spanking new one! LOL I will have to change my slogan, " An Old Ryder on a Spyder."

She rides an older RT. They're great people. My old slogan was "An Old Coot on a Scoot" there......you......go. LOL

Shame one can’t customise the trike , just from videos, I’d have low seating position or the ryker frame , with the spyder gearbox . Originally I was Morgan 3 wheeler or nothing , but realised I’ll never have $90,000 for a Morgan, got onto the Polaris slingshot videos and then found they don’t do right hand drive for Australia, so moved on to ryker and spyder videos.

Hay Barbara, Same here, perhaps the next ride.. When riding, I use the Sena Prism video camera. It has a mic feed into the helmet. If using a GoPro you would need a mic adapter kit. Take a look at my video that covers our video gear: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Kl-OKM4tFjg.html

90% of our riding is between Apr-Oct, We average 5300 per year.

Hey! Love your videos, but I need to make a correction, they invented it in Dayton Ohio, my home town. They just flew it off the hill there and North Carolina tried to take credit for it, birth place of aviation(Dayton Ohio)

Hay Joe, Each have advantages and disadvantages. Overall, I must say I think I am a "lone hunter". According to my personality profile, I lean just to the introvert side of the spectrum.
