I grew up in Washington but now live in Montana for the last 20 years. I recognize the places in your videos and most of my family still lives there. Too many people for me but I do miss it’s beauty. Thanks for posting.
Man oh man Montana seems like a great place to live! Especially for an outdoorsy type. I do love Washington's multiple different ecosystems but there are way too many people haha
I don't know boobeez lol. Sir love the videos and always enjoying your style. Your awesome and want to tell you thanks and appreciate all you do for us all. I mean it takes alot to make your awesome videos we only see half of what really goes into all your videos sir. But I want you to know your time, hardwork and dedication is appreciated sir. Well till the next's one GodBless and Tight Lines.
Any old shotgun will work and I've used some good ones and some not so good ones but there's just something about using an over-and-under for upland game birds. So, nice to see one in your hand. My late vote is for more big game content!
I am really loving this Upland Ultralight over under! Only five and a half pounds so it's a joy to carry all day. Definitely gonna start adding more hunting content in 2023. Pretty much like any of my other backcountry adventures.. but replace the fishing pole with a rifle
Make the content my friend. Anybpdy who truelly enjoys and recreates in the outdoors will love your content. Btw hope the new one is doing well, and the misses gets some of the spoils of your adventures. Take care.
I dig your style dude. Stash n all. My chicken of the woods spot looked exactly the same. Chanterelle spot bare bones. Found a new spot though absolutely loaded with Chanterelles. They are out there just in specific spots. Big game for sure!
My stache appreciates that haha It went straight from summer to winter. Supposed to freeze hard next week. Dunno if we're ever gonna get a decent mushroom season. I was thinking about headed to the Olympics to find milder temps.
A great beer you should try is Farmers Annuary made by Fort George. It’s a seasonal beer out around this time. Just a great beer. Are you going to do any salmon content? It’s that time of year again. Great video as always 🤘
Ok I'll have to keep an eye out for that next time I grab some beers. I attempted some salmon fishing in this video but the salmon gods weren't having it. Hope next week when I head to film I'll be doing at least half a day of salmon fishing. Hopefully the river isn't blown out!
Duuuude... I have been out several times trying to film some salmon stuff but I can't catch a salmon to save my life. Not seeing anyone around me catch any either. Yesterday I fished from sunrise to sunset. Twitched every jig, spun every spinner and spooned every spoon (bait not allowed). Sorry man.. I tried
@@CascadeBackcountry well at least you got to stand out there in the freezing cold 😂 I’ve heard good reports from my local river but I haven’t even been out. Good luck out there👍
I’ve enjoyed watching your videos. I’m from South Carolina. Flying out to Washington next weekend to hunt grouse a few days DIY. Still don’t have much of a clue what or where other than staying in Elma, and enjoying some new scenery.
Thank you! Now that is dedication to grouse hunting! I just looked at Elma on Google earth.. there's TONS of old logging roads to north and south of Elma. If you wanted to really cover ground, drive old logging roads. I have heard great things about grouse hunting near the Olympics so I'm sure you can get into some birds! I'd love to hear how it goes
I’ll let you know. I got the full coverage insurance option on the rental. Prepare for the worst, hope for the best. I’ve never grouse hunted before. Should be a good time. Will be out hunting 4.5 days. Figured early morning and late afternoon is best. How late in the mornings to how early in the afternoons do you usually hunt grouse?
Gotta get that full coverage haha. In my opinion, even if you've never hunted grouse, if you're persistent and cover ground, you will find birds! I hunt all day. I've seen grouse at the weirdest times in the weirdest spots. Good luck out there! Lemme know how it works out
@@CascadeBackcountry yes, really only 1 lake on west side that freezes enough down at White Pass. I've got lakes and Intel for a bunch on east side. Much warmer than when I did it in North Dakota for 3 winters.
Which Subaru do you drive asking this as I am scared of taking my AWD SUV because I am worried about ground clearance and the necessity of any 4x4 features.
I have had both an Outback and a Crosstrek. I've never had any ground clearance issues. I'm usually driving old logging roads and stuff. No real offroading. But Subaru has covered about 99% of my outdoor driving needs!
