Finally a decent video on how to transplant the Immortality herb. I grew this herb for the first time this summer and it grew very fast. It got damaged by frost on a cold autumn night, so I decided to move it inside. I tried to find, unsuccessfully, more details on growing this plant until I came across your video. Thank you for all the advice and tips. Eva
great plant . very easy to maintain and propagate . ive divided root systems of old plants 3 successive springs with no failures . overwinter indoors well even in long cold zone 4 winters . prefer to eat fresh leaves as opposed to tea infusions.
Thank you for the video. Today I ordered seeds from China and will have seeds 6-8 weeks and another 6 weeks a plant. Here in South Florida, that means a plant to care for just before winter. I am looking forward to the new adventure
I'm glad you found the video useful. It's definitely worth growing yourself. I think the tea tastes better from fresh leaves. It will be interesting to start straight from seeds and see the plant's development from the beginning. Your climate should be ideal for Jiaogulan. Good luck with the project!
@@SherlyPM81 I don't remember now. It was at either Amazon or Ebay. But now I have a none growing. For me, it is best I buy already grown and dried to use as tea
Hoping someone can help. Bought two plants. When first planted a year ago they were mild and slightly sweet, like the pants at my old house. Now, all sampled leaves are extremely bitter. Bleh ! Any advice on what do do to make the leaves mild and sweet again? Looks very healthy just tastes NASTY.
The younger, more tender and lighter-colored leaves are sweeter than the more established leaves that are darker in color. You can pick newer growth while leaving the more established leaves mid-way through your growing season. Hope that helps!
Fijate en los viveros por alli. Si no tienen, podés comprar las semillas por internet (ebay o aliexpress por ejemplo). ¡Hermoso tu país! El clima es ideal para jiaogulan.
