Normally, the cardamom sold in grocery store is 'too dry' so that the seeds are not viable. To grow from seeds, the cardamom should be fresh and green -- and that is very hard to obtain. But when you are indeed able to grow them from seeds, it takes about 4 years for the plant to produce cardamom pods.
Hi, very nice this information! Can you please show to us how it's going the plant after some time? How can we get the seeds of the own plant? Thanks for your job!
Thanks for your good work and video it's great to see how you grow cardamom at home in this easy way .But you have not shown us the flower seeds of the plant
Has anyone tried successfully? What I heard is cardamom doesn't grow in all weather. That is why you don't see cardamom plantations every where. Pollination is also important. Even if the plant flowers, no cardamom seeds will come. I guess it is just a video for fun..
The easiest thing you can try to make you positive is just placed a 'Peace lily ' to your dark room or corner. It can purified the air and also promotes restful sleep.
Note that Cardamom never grows from grocery bought spice cardamom seeds. Cardamom seeds only germinate from fresh cardamom. And cardamom is the most difficult plant to grow after Strawberry.
