If you take proper care of your lotus plant then it will definitely bloom in one or two years but make sure that you change its water and fertilizer it or plant is in proper sunlight
I scratched the lotus seeds from the same side as shown in the video. However in some other videos i saw on utube claims that if u scratch it from that side it harms the plant. Is it the right information?
I dont have any right to wrong or right someone's videos but you can scratch it from the middle side also. We scratch it only so that seeds can absorb water and sprout.
Sunlight is important for seed sprouting and because of sunlight leaves will come out and you have to change its water if you dont change it. seeds will start rotten
No please, soil is required for lotus plant after the seeds sprout, leaves and roots come out from this seeds shell then you shift it in the pot with soil and sand

When the seeds are in sprouting stage then you can keep it at the.room temperature once the seeds sprouted then minor sunlight is important for leaves and roots then you keep it near the window where minor sunlight come after leaves nd roots come out then shift these seeds into the big pot with soil outside where full sunlight come like in the garden
