It is a beautiful warm sunny day here today and I intend to get out and enjoy it. I was back at the garden center and they had the lavender and rosemary marked nearly half off, I nabbed a couple more that has two plants in a pot so a real deal! Now to work with them and turn into topiaries. If all my cuttings take I will have tons to share but that will be down the road a bit. We will get more snow and rain this coming weekend but the few days of break are so refreshing.
Pam, your hat is adorable on you! I forgot to tell you that I put ribbon grass in urns that I have in full sun and looked great all summer (previous video). I had no idea that Spanish lavendar was so pretty. Love this project. I really want a lavendar topiary ❤
The topiary are so pretty but they do take time. Patience is key. Thanks I had to keep a hat on as I was freezing and I couldn't find any of my snow hats. I can't wait to do my containers, everytime I walk in the greenhouse and see that grass I am anxious to see how it will work!
when they all take you will have a lot of plants, way to go. i never have luck with doing this, i think it's because i don't stay with watering them and checking on them. i guess i'm not patience . thanks for sharing it was a great video.
You crack me up trudging through that snow again 😂. Is this a recent snow? If so how do you do it?😂 I took fall cuttings from boxwood, blueberry and lavender. The latter didn’t survive, but happy the others did and doing well. I’ve been trying outside to root a blaze maple and two are a success. I’ve been trying for two years and used sand this time and it was a hit! 💃💃Then my husband almost took them out by moving a water trough there 😡. He got sent back to his area of the yard. The GH is officially in use as the seedlings were taking over. So glad we have warmed up!
Yes, that was recent, last weekend in fact and this weekend we are to get more but I think it will rain it off fast as it is to turn to rain. What fell last weekend is mostly melted already and I hope that was the last of the big snowfall. We have gotten a few days of lovely sunshine and it helps to have the break to enjoy before being hit with another storm.
Hello there dear flower patch lady, garden friend. Whow, primrose cottage in wonderland, xxhere bad strong winds, had torrential overnight ra,hopefully not tonight, going to concentrate and watch nowxxso exited xxheather in ukxx
Oh wow! Stay safe. We are having nice sunshine the next few days which I am enjoying then more rain and snow. This is a typcial spring for us. I won't see consistent good weather till June.
Very nice video. I had rosemary here in n.y for a couple of years and that was it. It never came back. I don’t know what kind it was. That Spainish one is real pretty though.
Lavender can be a bit particular so it can last for years then one year not like the winter that was to be had and will just die. I have lost a few myself.
I just went back to the garden center on Monday and they had the 2 quart plants 2 for $12, then I search the plants and found some that had to plants per pot. So when I divide them, like I did the tomatoes they end up being quite cheap. So in reality it was $3 per plant. Now I am much less intimidated if I only spent $3 and I fail.
