The "Swipe Up" feature is currently only available for business accounts with over 10k followers, but word is that Instagram is unlocking the feature to more creators in the near future. If you are building a brand and business around your music you should definitely have your Instagram account set up as a business account (easy switch in your settings). Now, until you have the "swipe up" functionality use a clear call-to-action in your stories with text and URL. This technique will still be effective with the work around. Thanks for watching!

I use igtv only for promoting my newest freestyle not swipe up or any of the features you describing I'll tell you what Adam you are informing me of so much more then anybody else would it's so funny how people try so hard that are in the mainstream media to keep things secretive when it's all public knowledge I've been doing so much research on production producing getting that extra step and extra Head Start in the industry by watching videos like yours I do not lack the talent that is for sure I lack where to start and how to get my foot in the door like buying a car for the first time you don't know what steps and procedures to take first well that's where I am now with music I don't know where to start I don't know what to do first I need to know how to copyright my performer name and I have some really great ideas for record label names and production companies because they all come and a common package name as in they all relate to each other I could sell the names and ideas alone from Millions if I owned the rights to the names and licenses to these companies the logos the record label in the production all are in the same family that can bind each other that capitalized itself my my performer named trippin Nick has Capital alone if I'm wrong please please correct me

I'm more in the "songwriting" phase than "promotion" phase but I want to have an audience to release my new tracks to in a few months. So, I just committed to an Instagram strategy tonight - created a simple checklist to make an Instagram post once per day - picture content includes songwriting, "in the studio" pics, my instruments, etc. I spent 15 minutes to make my first Instagram post tonight, hashtagged hell out of it, and already gaining new followers - it was fun and I'm excited to see how far I can take it!

Muffle is a good word. I use governor, like the governor on an engine that maintains consistent RPM while preventing damage from over speed. There are so many jokes available about musicians in need of a governor 🤣

I typically post on IG and right away make a story promoting it. Now I'm going to try to wait till later and then do it when the natural flow of engagement is gone. I also posted the entire video on IG, but that's stupid. I'm thinking I will post a snippet on IG and my story, another longer snippet on IGTV and then the full video on RU-vid. This may be too many steps though, maybe ill just do ig post and youtube.

I have been told that Instagram will be unlocking the feature to more accounts in the very near future so keep an eye out for that. Also, you can still use two of the three tactics in the meantime. I'd also suggest using a direct call to action in your stories while you're waiting to unlock the swipe up feature. Thanks for watching!

Hey Adam just started subbing and been flying through your videos and I have a quick question. Do you have any advice for someone who hasn't used social media much in their personal life who's now transitioning to trying to use it for their band. I've never been one to consistently be on Facebook, twitter, or even instagram, but I know these are key aspects in growing a brand. When I post stuff it tends to feel forced or I overthink it. I looked up Pro organization because if you want to make royalties off your songs they say you have to be registered they collect the royalties for you. However it stated on Google they don't just accept anyone and its best to have created content for approval. Its a 100$ to apply each time and I don't want to just throw money away. also for anyone who takes my advice on reverbnation.com they have many kinds of widgets from fan collectors, to subscription collectors, to video players, to song players. If you learn a bit about html codes you can create some nice widgets using their codes in yours, for example i took a reverb song player wiget and turned it into my websites auto player, which continues even when you change the page, with a custom skin and no reverb ads, with a fan collector button minimized onto each track with a background on my website that changes to the picture of each song. people love it, sadly i couldnt pay for my website so I cant show it right now, my point is, with html codes you can really make some attractive shit
