Man I think I might need to get one of these

They are super cool and help a ton. It's perfectly fine to start small with just the monitor and grow from there. Check the link in the video description, and sign up for their newsletter for 5% off. Every little bit helps!

Pretty sure the probe with the cap is the pH probe

Yup, totally misspoke on that one. Good catch, I'll be adding a correction 🙄

Do you know if other PH probes like a apera or any other brand will work with this system as long as it's within the growee ph prob parameters?

I don't know this, sorry. I would recommend that you reach out to Growee directly to get a specific answer. That said, I would guess that it will not. The Growee Hydro Master includes the EC and pH probes, and is the unit that connects everything together. From there, you can add on a pH controller or nutrient dosing pumps, but it all starts with the Hydro Master and it's included probes.

does it say how many ml per minute the pumps can pump? (trying to figure out the limit of the reservoir)

I don't think so, but I'm sure support can answer that question for you. That said, milliliters per minute is not quite how you approach the dosing. It's a matter of looking at your total reservoir volume, in conjunction with the volume of additive (pH Or nutrients) compared to your total volume of your reservoir. I don't have the specs in front of me right now, but if memory serves the Growee can work with as little as 5 gallons and up to 500 gallons. Currently I'm running two setups. Each of them are a total of 35 gallons. That's more than enough for four pots with plants as well as a reservoir that has my pumps for both circulation and the feed manifold. Hope this helps, and let me know if you have more questions.

@@PlantItAll fiirst of all thanks for the quick response. I still cant answer the question and support doesnt have the actual number but maybe you can get it. I wonder if you set for example your desire EC to 5 (insane) how many ml can the pumps inject per minute or hour, is that something you could get?

@benjaminmorande9087 let me see what I can find for you. The system is designed to "sneak up" on the correct total concentration, dosing little by little until it hits your set point. That way it doesn't over correct your pH or over-nutrate your water. But there's probably a way I can figure out its total potential throughput. I'll let you know as soon as I figure it out

@benjaminmorande9087 Unfortunately I have not been able to sort out an "official" answer for you. So I ran a little test. I ran one of my dosing pumps through a flush and measured the results. This is by no means a very good way to get a hard number, but it should give you some info. The flush cycled for 5 seconds, and passed 15ml of liquid through. So a little bit of math would imply that the pumps are capable of 180ml/min. This may be wildly inaccurate because I can't confirm if this is their peak rate and if this can be sustained for longer than the 5 seconds that the flush cycle runs, but it at least gives you some starter info. If I find anything more definitive I'll post it here.

@@PlantItAll First of all, thanks a lot! What i've been discussing with the team is that the smart mode takes a sample then it activates 1 pump at a time (roughly 3 minutes of liquid aplication) then wait 6 minutes and repeat. so my questions are: 1) if you activate the smart mode, is that the case (one pump at a time or they all go at once) 2) if you set a very high EC number and let one pump do its magic, how many ml can it provide in 30 minutes
