I LOVE broccoli, but my husband hates it. This year I'll be growing my favorite: Romanesco Broccoli. It's very sweet with a mild nutty flavor. Kind of like a beautiful, spiraled child of cauliflower and broccoli but better than both. There's no way he'll be able to turn up his nose at THAT. Thanks so much, Northern Berry Farm for my planting times! I'm here in Iowa, too!
Piss on the government, fund them yourself by faithfully buying their products. Introduce others to where you are buying your produce. Take care of your own and don't depend on the "government".
I started 4 plants in a tub for my first time this year,. All did wonderful even though I am not sure I planted them in the right timing? Well I should say last year I planted them in 2021 and kept them pretty much inside all winter accept on nice days that were not freezing cold. It did take 4 months to get any heads on them and 3 of them are producing heads minus 1 I just ate! YUM! First time I had organic Broccoli I grew myself. It was AWESOME! I am letting one go to seed since it did bolt on me and it was a smaller one of the 4. But I now have a couple varieties growing and even purple now too. I hope its good because I have never eaten it before.
I have grown broccoli first time this year in my garden in London just a few plants, harvest today three of them but seen green worms on them I washed them and left in deep water I think everything has cleared? Is it eatable now ? How to get rid of them I don’t want to use any chemicals want them organic?
No worries. We are not raised or exposed to the same things growing up. We can all learn something from eachother. Thanks to all the teachers, of all ages, on the "University of RU-vid". I learned many things from these wonderful people who commit to sharing their skill, knowledge, and experience!
Exactly, most of the things i know, i learned from RU-vid, i used to listen to a radio garden show, but that was years ago, although I still remember things i learned there
This is the worst broccoli I have ever seen in my entire life, and I've been alive for a while. If this broccoli was served to me at restaurant, I would not only send it back, I would never ever return to that restaurant as long as I lived. And I would leave a bad review on Google so that nobody would go there ever again. Then the business would start to struggle financially and the business owner, who is a recovering alcoholic, would start to relapse and drink uncontrollably. Then he would start embezzling moneys from his restaurant to pay for his alcohol addiction and his crack addiction. That's right, he would become addicted to crack as well. And then, because he has become an abusive crackaholic, he would force his wife to get addicted to crack even though she is pregnant. Then she would birth a sickly, crack baby, destined to be a burden on society for the rest of its days. All of this, because of YOUR lackluster broccoli. How do you sleep at night sir?
